Remember when Sampson was a guy who we could “see his name on the wall” one dayA clingan sized hole at Center

We got beat off the dribble repeatedly and failed to double team inside except in the final minute.Bad defense does us in again
Nowell should play more minutes. Mahaney should warm the bench.Half glass full take - Emerged from this game is Nowell.
He played with confidence, the poise, the assists and the drive thru the lane with scoring ability and more importantly stout defense. Hurley needs to roll the dice and use Nowell ahead of Mahaney going foward.
I still think he settles far too much for the three ball. He had a couple strong drives to the hoop -- he needs to continue to utilize his athleticism to put pressure on the defense. And yea, it's clear that Nowell has a bright future as a Husky. The best game of Solo Ball’s career. He’s scored double digits in every game this season.
I’m still not confident about our backcourt, but the picture is clearer. Solo Ball gets 25-30 minutes and then figure out the rest of the rotation. Nowell's five assists and zero turnovers opened my eyes too...ready to move forward with Ball, Diarra and Nowell as the top-three guards.
Bingo - 4 guys off to the NBA, and outside of Karaban, young and inexperienced. I suspect we will look much better in Jan/Feb....Is it time we accept that we simply lost way too much talent from last year's team to be able to challenge for a three peat? I don't know what to think right now...
Samson offers absolutely no threat of offense with this team, and this team absolutely needs an inside presence on offense.Did you watch the game. We were much more effective with Johnson in the game. Reed was basically a no-show.
Three peat? This team has to make the tourney first. We have to still beat most likely Dayton which should have beat NC. Not sure we win tmrw. Gonzaga and Baylor are both top teams. Is it time we accept that we simply lost way too much talent from last year's team to be able to challenge for a three peat? I don't know what to think right now...
I was stunned that that was what was drawn up out of a time out.Diarra should've pass that back to Karaban. Having him take our last two shots with Ball, Karaban and McNeeley on the floor is criminal.
I think alot of us see that is what will eventually happen. The question is when will Hurley and staff see it for themselves and move on. Nowell's got that Khalid energy.Half glass full take - Emerged from this game is Nowell.

Fair point, but that team showed early on that they can compete with the best of the best. Just happened to hit a really bad mid season slump. I don't know if this team could win against any ranked opponent right now. That’s its November and our first title team lost six of eight in the middle of the season?
I like Nowell but he missed the gym on a 3.I think alot of us see that is what will eventually happen. The question is when will Hurley and staff see it for themselves and move on. Nowell's got that Khalid energy.
Uhhhhhhhh….Totally bummed I'm 14 hours ahead of this in the far east and won't have the pleasure of reading this thread with all the reasonable, rational takes.
It's obvious Hurley doesn't have what it takes any more to lead a program with national championship aspirations. The yoga interviews with Bilas and crap like that need to stop and he has to coach the team.
Hopefully Benedict is on top of this and can do the right thing.
Agreed. Free Nowell and Stewart.Half glass full take - Emerged from this game is Nowell.
