It's annoying that LAS is the abbreviation for both the Las Vegas airport and the Los Angeles Sparks.

Oh yeah, and I'm annoyed that the Sparks are waxing the Lynx.

81-71 LAS final
At least the Lynx didn’t give up.

Parker 20 pts, 10 reb, 3 ast, 1 blk

Lexie Brown 20 pts, 3 reb, 2 ast, 2 stl

I'm seeing 4 assists and 4 steals for Napheesa.

If true, darn close to a 4x5 game, which is rare.

Glad they clipped the interview.

Pheesa handled herself like a pro. Panel tried to get her embroiled in WNBA substandard travel but was rebuffed.

Bit sad that no word on Maya. It definitely seems like her leaving is permanent.

Minnesota may be the worst passing team in the WNBA, particularly post entry. That is something Shepard seemed to do very well. This group is the gang that couldn’t pass straight.

Napheesa posts up her defender 5-10 times a game and doesn’t sniff the ball.

Tonight the Lynx play a comparably poor passing team in the Wing. Two of the three top candidates for the rookie of the year will be on display in the game in Minnesota. Be interesting to see these two talented players in the same game.

When she's through with basketball, Shepard should go into diplomacy.

Not tonight.

Pheesa lighting it up....seems like folks should be watching the head to head to see who the real ROY is....

68-50 MIN end of third

Collier 17 pts, 3 reb, 1 ast, 4 stl, 1 blk

Ogunbowale 15 pts, 1 reb, 2 ast

Ogunbowale taking the lead points-wise 22-19 with about 4 min left

This head to head is not going to change the minds of anyone.
Pheesa with a lot of positive stats on both ends of the floor and 0 TO. Arike with really explosive plays and can get to the line at will but enough misses and TO's to illustrate her limitations. And she got a Techical Foul and Pheesa drained the FT. :)

It pretty much epitomizes their stark contrast between efficiency and volume:

Pheesa: 19 points, 6-11 FG (51.5%), 4 steals, 0 turnovers, 2 fouls
Arike: 22 points, 6-14 FG (42.9%), 2 steals, 5 turnovers, 4 fouls

Also, I didn't see the game but we already know who played the better defense. :)

Last but not least: 86-70. One player makes her teammates better, the other player sucks the life out of her teammates.

Collier certainly did not hurt her chances.

Pheesa is getting her interior game humming like her UConn days. And her 7-7 FT's (with no rim huggers) show she is relaxing more and more. When her outside shooting gets more consistent, watch out.

Dallas is BAD -- not going to win many games when two starters (both from Tennessee of course:rolleyes:) combine for 0 points.
