Enjoying watching my Jayhawks taking care of business against Michigan State. They look very good.

You guys let a completely out gunned team get back into it.

Kansas always sucks me in at march. The fact that self doesn’t have more titles than K since he got to Kansas is an abomination. He’s had simply loaded squads. This Kansas team is deep and talented. So naturally I’m ready for the s16 exit

KU close to blowing this game. Azubuike is such a liability late in games. How is it that an athlete who plays basketball all the time is probably worse at FT throws than I would be after a ten minute warmup for the first time in years?

But he’s amazing when he is on the floor. Kansas plus minus without him last year was insane, wasn’t it?

I watched the first 35 minutes of the Grand Canyon vs SDSU game. After reading so much about Mike Daum and Grand Canyon's length and defense, this was a great mid-major game to check out both teams on TV for the first time. My in-laws are Horizon league fans and NDSU alum, so it was also fun to connect to that league, especially with football for the last five seasons.

Daum is legit. Lots of nuanced, "old-man" style to his game. He's got the strength to hold his own underneath, but great touch, an ability to pass and can shoot from outside. He's got a bit of Kevin Love to his game. However, SDSU isn't just Daum. David Jenkins was incredible last night and I love his bulldog, alpha-male approach to being a lead guard. Freshman center Matt Dentlinger is a smart, "clean-up" guy who does a lot of little things great and most of his points were off offensive boards. All but 16 minutes were played by their starting-five, so there's a lack of depth on their team, but their starting five is excellent.

For Grand Canyon, their length on D is legit, and Dan Majerle has an interesting way of playing "lines" of five guys at a time. They will be a tough team to play against with their grit, energy, depth, rebounding and defense, but they shoot the 3 way too much for a team who can't shoot the 3.

Wichita is gonna stink this year
Yes, but I like Gregg Marshall's long-term view of leaning more on their freshmen in hopes of being better in the future. Erik Stevenson (16p/3r in 23 min), Dexter Dennis (10p/4 in 27min), Erik Stevenson and Jamarius Burton (6p/3r/5a in 21 min) all were heavily involved in the game. If I'm a Shockers fan, I'd rather see these guys play than a JUCO guy like Ricky Torres who's only around for one more year.

Rivier 54

Wasn't as close as the score indicated. See you on the 24th. ;)
I thought I knew every college in New England that played sports (I firstborn thought they were Québécers ) but Rivier is new to me.
They have only been Co-Ed for 20+ years
Former women’s college in Nashua , now playing D3 sounds a lot like Albertus Magnus or even St Josephs. What you learn on they Boneyard.

He's a traditional center, much like I envision Kofi Cockburn would be, and so in the modern game, ends up with a mismatch on the power forward that is playing center for the opponent (with a stretch 4 also in). But late in the game, teams just foul him immediately and get the ball back as a result.

If he doesn’t have the ball they should be called what they are: intentional fouls.

Cincinnati looking ugly per usual. This team doesn’t scare me. AAC is wide open this year, especially if Wichita State is gonna suck.

We need three point shooting and the shot selection needs to within the offense

Cincinnati should be winning this game by 10+ points. They can’t make wide open shots- including multiple layups
