A good win for CCSU, but Hartford is overhyped. CCSU's Tyler Kohl drops 30 points and 10 rebounds in the Blue Devils victory.

In just 3 seasons at Central, Donyell is 2-1 vs. Coach Gallagher. We lost year to the Hawks in OT because we shot 15 for 26 from the FT line.

CCSU was picked 6th in the NEC this year, but could likely finish as high as 4th.

Hartford will not meet preseason predictions and will likely finish behind Vermont, Stony Brook, UMBC and Albany in the AE.

Next up for Central - Saturday, Nov. 10 at Georgetown at 6:00 pm (Fox Sports 2)

Could these 4 blowhards arguing over the FBS rankings to kill time before the start of Duke-Kentucky be any more annoying? Sheeeeeesh.

Three takeaways from Syracuse men’s basketball win over Eastern Washington
Jalen Carey is fast… like, really fast

Frank Howard will be the point guard for the Orange once he returns to full strength, but with Jalen Carey healthy enough to play in the opener, Syracuse was still able to throw a more than capable point guard out there when needed.

He may not have blown up the box score, but if you watched the Orange take on the Eagles, you sure had a tough time keeping up with Carey when he had the ball in his hands. The freshman point guard had an impressive finish in transition in the first half, which turned into a failed and-one opportunity, but in that one play alone, Carey’s speed was put on full display. That’s something Syracuse fans are sure to enjoy watching this year.
