Why is that exactly?Seems like a Florida kid.
I think this comes down to us vs NC State.

Just seems like a confident kid in every aspect of his life, meaning the weather and the girls may play a part, but only because they are defending champs and on the rise. Just a complete guess. Just vibes I get from him.Why is that exactly?

But what about the year before….and the year before that?Just seems like a confident kid in every aspect of his life, meaning the weather and the girls may play a part, but only because they are defending champs and on the rise. Just a complete guess. Just vibes I get from him.
Bingo.Why is that exactly?

Seems like a Uconn guyBingo.
Well wade certainly knows a thing or two about making interesting offersWe are being played! Staying close to home trying to get more $$.
The weather and the girls weren’t here those years either. Some guys like to be in cool places as well. You can’t go wrong by going there is all im saying, I wouldn’t overlook all things considered. Maybe if he came out before they won the title, it would be less appealing there, but now, i wouldn’t overlook them being in a top five, and I definitely hope I’m wrong. But what about the year before….and the year before that?
If that’s what he’s going for than he’s not a “serious” kinda kid and see ya. The one thing you know you are getting with Hurley is a kid that’s in it for the right reasons. The weather and the girls weren’t here those years either. Some guys like to be in cool places as well. Nothing new. That quote is from 3 months ago. See this link. This is looking good for the good guys IMO.
UCONN: “They’ve been the best program in college basketball over the past four or five years. They won back-to-back championships. Coach (Dan) Hurley is a maniac, and that is exactly what you want. You want a coach who loves basketball; you don’t want anything else other than that. I love Coach Hurley and Coach Kimani (Young), and my relationship with them has grown over the past few weeks. They put out NBA players, and they have a system they know works. When you’re their guy, you’re their guy. They’re loyal.”

RIPTrilly just put in the prediction for NCST…
I always knew he wasn’t any good.Trilly just put in the prediction for NCST…
Ewwww, Will Wade huh. Well, if he goes that direction, likely meant he wanted to stay local the whole way. Also may make some sense on why we ratcheted up recruiting on alternatives, despite positional difference, in the last month.Trilly just put in the prediction for NCST…

Yeah times have changed. And missing out on HS recruits just doesn't sting like it used to. The only one of this class I really want is Mingo. Not sure I've been less interested in the HS scene than I am this year. I don't think there are many players that will make much of a mark next year and then they're fair market in the portal. In fact, given I think the HS NIL scene might be a bit depressed this year, could see a lot of these kids flashing in the portal to see how they can make up for it in Year 2.
I agree. Although it does sting to me still not because of the player but rather the time invested by the staff. More of a perception thing even if the reality is he grew up an NCST fan, still doesn't read well to miss out as a Blue Blood to a program run by a glorified bag man.Yeah times have changed. All 4 have a school mascotOne coach is not like the other three. Only one has been in the limelight enough not to have a mascot needed for school identification.
Not even glorified at this point lolI agree. Although it does sting to me still not because of the player but rather the time invested by the staff. The fat lady hasn't sung quite yet as Hurley seems to be Trilly's kryptonite. Feels like an early call for Trilly, as CC only announced his top 5 today.I thought we'd get him, Wade/bags/local and all. Seems like one of the few recruitments where Hurley prioritized a realistic guy and didn't get him.
Think kids are starting to realize going to UNC puts a nail in their NBA hopes. The fat lady hasn't sung quite yet as Hurley seems to be Trilly's kryptonite. Feels like an early call for Trilly, as CC only announced his top 5 today.
If anything, how UNC has tumbled. Where at any point pre-Hubert would they have lost an instate target to NC St?
Yeah, kinda hoping this is the end of the line for Hubie. College hoops is a better place when UNC isn't a wet blanket.Think kids are starting to realize going to UNC puts a nail in their NBA hopes.
Husky not shown in picture. All 4 have a school mascot
