2026 Recruiting: Cole Cloer visiting this weekend

If his dad has money, he has money.

Pretty much every time you hear about someone, especially a young person, get paid, they talk about taking care of their family. Point is that’s not really an issue here.
And if a family has true generational wealth, that means the son doesn’t have to worry about where their next meal will come from.

Why is that exactly?

I think this comes down to us vs NC State.
Just seems like a confident kid in every aspect of his life, meaning the weather and the girls may play a part, but only because they are defending champs and on the rise. Just a complete guess. Just vibes I get from him.

But what about the year before….and the year before that?

The weather and the girls weren’t here those years either. Some guys like to be in cool places as well. You can’t go wrong by going there is all im saying, I wouldn’t overlook all things considered. Maybe if he came out before they won the title, it would be less appealing there, but now, i wouldn’t overlook them being in a top five, and I definitely hope I’m wrong.

If that’s what he’s going for than he’s not a “serious” kinda kid and see ya. The one thing you know you are getting with Hurley is a kid that’s in it for the right reasons.

We get two of these kids and I’m fine with whatever two. I don’t think any of them will be major impacts next year and there is plenty of ways to plug gaps that you’ll have a much clearer sense of at the portal.

This is looking good for the good guys IMO.
UCONN: “They’ve been the best program in college basketball over the past four or five years. They won back-to-back championships. Coach (Dan) Hurley is a maniac, and that is exactly what you want. You want a coach who loves basketball; you don’t want anything else other than that. I love Coach Hurley and Coach Kimani (Young), and my relationship with them has grown over the past few weeks. They put out NBA players, and they have a system they know works. When you’re their guy, you’re their guy. They’re loyal.”

Nothing new. That quote is from 3 months ago. See this link.

Maybe someone can work their magic here

The suspense. Hoping Miami isn't there for Mingo. There is only one SuperHero strong enough to tackle this issue. @HooperScooper

Trilly just put in the prediction for NCST…
Ewwww, Will Wade huh. Well, if he goes that direction, likely meant he wanted to stay local the whole way. Also may make some sense on why we ratcheted up recruiting on alternatives, despite positional difference, in the last month.

Not sure I've been less interested in the HS scene than I am this year. I don't think there are many players that will make much of a mark next year and then they're fair market in the portal. In fact, given I think the HS NIL scene might be a bit depressed this year, could see a lot of these kids flashing in the portal to see how they can make up for it in Year 2.
