He had his hand up to his mouth in the huddle and on the court but I didn’t see who rapped him. Looks like a trip to the dentist today for Donovan.

I heard on spaces from Clingan’s dad that he had one tooth pushed back in the first half and then got hit again and a 2nd tooth got pushed behind it. OUCH! tooth pain is not fun…
yeah he got really pissed going to the bench and kept constantly touching his mouth, I figured it was a tooth. Mouth guard maybe needed?

this is what i figured when there wasn't a lot of blood.

teeth are actually pretty fluid in the gums and can move around when you get hit. it feels very strange, but probably nothing to worry about from an orthodontics perspective.

I don't notice the players wearing thin pro style mouth guards but they should. I was at the Garden one time and Doc Rivers left his porcelain caps shattered on the hardwood after a faceplant.

Wahab got him again during the comeback on the play where Clingan stuffed him. DC actually went to his mouth while Wahab was trying to muscle him, but kept defending.

One of the times I think he was trying to block a shot from behind and the Gtown player jumped up right into his mouth. Probably has a tooth mark in the back of his head.

In every other game he has worn a guard. GT was about as physical as we are going to see.

That sequence was great. Donovan stopped that first time, then looked like he was doing doing an "oops" with his hand to mouth, saw Wahab get the ball back and make a move when Clingan snapped back into focus and stopped him AGAIN!!!

Wanna see something creapy? Google "x-Ray of baby teeth" then look at the images.

And he got the rebound!
DC is a beast!

DC was on the floor during the big comeback for the most part, correct? Such an impact player even when not scoring.

Anybody else notice the targeted advertising on this post? Quite appropriate. Just realized there is also a Delta Dental at top.
Brutal that he took two shots to the mouth but impressive he was able to play and have an impact.

The tooth is gone. Don't ask how I know. Hopefully he has a dentist appointment before next week.

I was thinking about that when it happened. DC appeared to have a similar reaction too. Dyson was clearly in pain, but he also looked pissed that a Depaul player jumped on his head. DC looked irritated beside the pain of the blow to the mouth.

Getting teeth damaged is no laughing matter. Hope your OK DC.

Yup, I just saw the replay from the "Character Win" post. At about 1:10 of this video. He clearly got hit in the mouth, holds his tooth, but still holds his ground and forces Wahab to miss again.
