What he should have said: When Hurley breaks through and gets his first top 50 Jersey star, he and his staff will have earned a well deserved celebration. @Chief00 too - I'm sure the grind hasn't been easy.

Syracuse hasn’t had a top 25 recruiting class since 2016. UConn has two and we’ve been in a crap conference with a crap record. If we’re irrelevant and still pulling in top 25 classes more often than them...what does that make them?

Do you think if they improve on their 8th place average finish in the ACC over the last 5 years they’ll eventually get a 25 class?

How much do you think it pains them that we’ve gone through our worst 5 year stretch in 40 years and we still won a championship?

Say we get big cliff. Our 2020 front court would be loaded. Senior Carlton, Akok, Springs, Cliff, and Senior Whaley. When’s the last time we had a front court that deep and capable. I’ve often heard UConn recruits well. Maybe it’s because Hurley promises them escorts- wait, wrong school. Maybe it’s because Hurley promises them fake classes- wait, wrong school. Maybe it’s because Hurley promises them sleepovers at Mrs. Fine’s home- wait, wrong school. Maybe it’s because Hurley promises them a $10,000/month salary- wait, wrong school. Maybe it’s because Hurley promises them direct connections to Nike thru his Nike EYBL pipeline- wait, wrong school.

So, if Hurley isn’t offering any of these things, how is UConn still pulling nationally regarded classes?

Info from my sources, aka posts on The Boneyard, make me think Cam is more likely to commit early than Cliff. Getting either one of them is huge, although I'd prefer Cam and Cardwell to Cliff and not Cam.
