Another school that gives almost no support to women's basketball. Itero Coleman a Clemson alum left PSU under Coquese Washington to become the head coach there and has had almost no support.

Shea would have to have head coaching experience to ever be considered to succeed Geno.

That said, Clemson's a good school - near home - nice opportunity for Shea if they want to UP their program.

Shea'll always be a Husky!

Jim Davis did quite well at Clemson. It would be more difficult now with Staley at SC, but still doable. I'd definitely take Clemson over NC State.

Coleman also lost 3 players mid season to transfers. I've never ever heard of that. Clearly something was wrong there.

All well and good, but just before the Big East Tournament and NCAAs is a poor time to leak info/rumors like this.

What point in the year do you think is better for spreading wild-ass, unsubstantiated rumors?

When the selfsame coaches aren't still working with the team. It's disruptive, and bound to make the players wonder if it's true or not.

I imagine they'll ask Shea about it and Shea will tell them yes or no.

There has been speculation for weeks on this board about Shea and Pitt - how is that any different?

If you can't see the difference between a couple of schmendrick posters on a messageboard speculating about something and a nationally recognized wcbb figure reporting something, then I can't help you.

It's more than Boneyard posters re: the speculation about Pitt. Big East insiders have been hearing that for a while.

I think u overstate Kennyk. And all he did was pass along a rumor he heard from someone else. For all we know its someone saying " we'd love to get Shea".

Unfortunately, the OP neglected to provide a link, so you might be right.

Ok, I'll say something unpopular.

Do we really know that Shea would be a big loss? I know Geno loves her, which counts for a lot. And I know everyone loves her for what she did as a player at Uconn. But isn't she responsible for our guards? She inherited Renee as a senior, so you can't give her credit for that. The strength of the 2009-10 team was the frontcourt by a country mile. Guard play has been good but not great since, and downright appalling at times this season. I'm not saying that's Shea's fault, and certainly injuries and experience has been part of it. But my question is what evidence is there that she'd be a huge loss or is ready to be a HC somewhere.

Honest question that will probably get bashed, but I'm asking anyway.
