Cincinnati @ UConn - 4/28 @3p, 4/29 @1p & 4/30 @12p

As infuriating as this team can be, I cannot imagine what the Cincy board is like when their team loads the bases with no one out. They almost never score.

Poulin has been a much better pitcher of late, pretty much starting with that 5 inning start. Before that, it never seemed that he could get out of any trouble.

I don't want to crap on Aaron hill but he has had too many errors and mind boggling mental lapses. I will take my chances with freshman than see a senior who gets picked off while in scoring position in the last month of his career.

1-2-3 8th inning for Poulin. Every year it seems that a seldom used younger pitcher emerges late in the season and starts to pitch at a much higher level. Could we be seeing that this year with PJ?

UConn picks up a run in the 8th when Feldstein hits into a double play. 3-0 with UConn still up. Willy Yahn has scored all three UConn runs today.

I expect that Poulin will at least start the 9th inning since Russell is not available today.

Sad trombone day for Hill...

T9: Away we go. Runners on corner - no outs

Edit - Sac fly to right 3-1 w/ 1 out followed by errant pick off throw. Runner @ third. 1 out

Poulin having problems in the 9th, throws away a pick off throw allowing that runner to advance.

Rather see the freshmen playing. Better offensively and don't think we lose that much defensively. Tired of waiting for Hill's late season hot streak.
Check that, we don't lose anything defensively.

Cardiac Kids... take the W and run. (Shoulda been a damn sweep)

Gutty performances by Montgomerie and Poulin.

Onto big series in Houston.
