Hill continues to kill this offense. Every time he is involved with the offense, something demoralizing happens.
 
Bullpen is a virtual landmine!

Another passed ball moves up runners and 2 run single makes it 6-4
 
If we lose this, Hill needs to get a LARGE part of the blame. Our offense has been fine this weekend save for him.

Why do we hit weekend pitching harder than midweek?

Need to keep hitting tomorrow. If Montgomerie pitches, we will be the favorite.

  • John Russell notched his conference-leading 12th save of the season. Russell recorded his ninth multiple-inning outing of the season.
  • Isaac Feldstein has hit home runs in back-to-back games for the Huskies. The last Husky to hit round-trippers in back-to-back games was Joe DeRoche-Duffin against UCF on May 13 & 14.

Penders confirms that Montgomerie was a late scratch and status tomorrow will be a game time decision. Challenges other pitches to want the ball w/ games on the line.

Really want Wills back next year unless he's drafted high enough to warrant leaving.
 
I saw Wills after the game yesterday and he has the same chances as me to start today. I expect to see P.J.

As our bullpen continues to struggle in these important weekend games, I struggle to understand why one of our most reliable relievers, Nepiarsky continues to be glued to the bench in big situations.
 
Feldstein rbi single scores Willy Yahn to give UConn a 1-0 lead after the 1st inning. Willy Yahn's bat really seems to be coming around of late.

As soon as I put the radio on, Willis throws the ball away on a pickoff attempt :(

He gets another strikeout to erase the mistake though! 1-0 UConn going to the bottom of the 4th.
 
Stefanski is another bat that offers almost nothing for the offense. zzz

Stuck with a 1-0 lead going to the fifth inning.
 
UConn's offense remains quiet, but Montgomerie's pitching is alive. 1-2-3 inning for him in the 5th.
