Cincinnati fans are delusional

I am not a big fan of BE Commissioner Val and her pluff media pieces taking credit for programs built by great coaching not her.
I will say this though, the lousy TV revenue deals she cuts are less important now with NIL. A recruit cares about NIL money not school revenue. The more we can focus on that, the better off we will be. It is important though that TV is on accessible platforms and times.
Weird take.

Pretty sad so many here are denigrating our former conference mate. You'd think Cincy was a "safety school" to listen to you.

Here's a quote from the Simply College website:
"University of Cincinnati Main Campus is an easy school to get into and you have a very good chance of acceptance if you meet the admission criteria. Last year, 25,024 out of the 29,025 who applied were admitted."

86.2% of applicants are admitted so, for the math challenged, that means a whopping 13.8% are denied admission!

Here's a video of a recent applicant:

Kobe drives us to it. If it weren't for his trolling, we would probably be picking on some other P4 bottom feeder.

In fact, I sometimes think that's exactly why Kobe comes here. Some kind of masochistic need to see his own school roasted over the hot coals.

Whatever, we're still 6X champs and UC can get bent.

I guess you have to decide, would you rather have your school be in the hunt and compete/win multiple national championships or not be in the hunt and say your school makes 40 Million.
Not that long ago many of the old Big East Conference schools chose the $, as UConn would have if given the opportunity; they still would today. Financial survival is paramount, particularly for a school that reportedly is losing tens of millions of dollars in their athletic department. We may hate it, but that’s todays reality when the school lacks a deep bench of well heeled donors to keep it afloat.

After much thought I've come to the conclusion that UConn fans are delusional. We think that every sports fan thinks about Huskies Bball as much as we do.
How many of you can say that you don't walk around in uconn gear assuming that everybody is acknowledging the greatness?
I know I do. I'm flashing the 7 sign to my priest at communion.
You may have a point. When I walk into a bar in NY wearing UConn threads and everyone isn't gawking at me like I'm Tom Cruise, I'm baffled. "Did you guys NOT notice I'm wearing gear for the 6-time national championship Huskies? Perhaps you're all distracted..."

.-.
I wear UConn gear around Manhattan frequently. I get the occasional "go huskies" or "you guys have a great team" from a bartender or passerby.

The looks I get here in Arizona depends on where I wear my UConn gear. If I wear it in Tempe I get a look of dirty looks, but if I wear it in Glendale I get a lot of high fives.

.-.
As it relates to the thread, wear my UConn gear around Cincy all the time - just don't get as warm a reception haha
I’ve never had anyone say something to me, but I have had car stickers torn off in the past

I understand about the Kobester. Just my attempt to add some humor to this.
