I have NO idea why Williams has been completely overlooked in the W. Has she been blackballed for some reason? There are at least 10 players in the league I'd put behind CW, and maybe more.

And just take Berger as an example (since she was mentioned by @jerz2atl) - and she's a starter. Practically 0 offense. I can't imagine her defense is better than CW's, or her ball handling. And from an offensive perspective, it's not even close. So why has CW not even gotten a sniff from the W?

Some injuries are slower than others to recover from. Sometimes the mental recuperation has as much to do with later success as the physical side. Seems like a reasonable opportunity for Christyn to work on both.

I agree that some of the 7-day and late season signings can be head scratchers.

After all the rehab she needed to do based on the severity of her injury, IMO her window was limited in the W, based on what they needed and what they saw out there. Here's hoping that she'll get some valuable playing time and experience, and can get a longer look in the W next year. Who knows, maybe she'll be the next Kathryn Westbeld.

She wasn't/hasn't been blackballed. She had a server acl tear before she was able to play 1 game with the Mystics, that had her out of commission for 2 years. She played with Phoenix at the end of the season last year. She was invited to training camp with the Lynx, I belive, this year, but didn't make the teams she was invited to. Hopefully, this will jump start her career and get her back int o the league.
