6'2" ish redhead with a little bit of guard skill. Maybe the most athletic of all the walk ons but not a savior in this game by any means.Whose Matt Wheeler. Any info?
Freakin' Ollie! How'd he let Vital get a concussion?
Lol, where's Ashton Kutcher hiding, c'mon guys, where is he?Apparently Purvis dislocated his finger in shoot-around..
Per Joe D and the UConn IMG pre-game show. Apparently he was screaming in pain but they popped it back in and he's gonna be fine to play. Left ring finger.
If we're gonna lose, I hope the walkons at least get some real burnSo we may see a walk-on start tonight. I remember a few years ago when they were showing the starting lineups for a game they showed Johnnie Bird starting at the point. It was done in error, but still kind of an exciting moment. Perhaps tonight it'll be the real thing, but I pray not.
Come on, feel the Noyes!
Once in a while we have decent walk ons, in this case it would seem not.
If no Jalen (and please do not play him hurt just take the beating) Would prefer to play Rodney, Vance at 2, and all bigs - Noyes to me doesn't look like he was even a good HS player. They may or should press us but oh well play the guys who are on the roster, they can learn.
This is such a frustrating year it's incredible - huskymagic will blame someone other than it being just what it is, that should be entertaining in itself.
That's rediculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!You spelled it wrong
Tourney hopes! LOL!I'd rather punt the game than play Adams when he's not ready. Losing a bye would suck but losing Adams for a longer time would be death to our tourney hopes.
That's kind of a stupid thing to sayI would be very disappointed if we play Jalen due to Vital's situation.
Again having relatively the same concussion protocol in basketball as you do in football and boxing is crazy - since you don't take too many head blows.
Vital should play and Jalen sit.
Kind of????? Chief says some stupid stuff sometimes but this one is right up there with his best. That's kind of a stupid thing to say

You guys are just knee jerk conventional thinkers who in this case dispense with logic. The chance of receiving another head blow in basketball is remote where as with boxing you are guaranteed to receive hundreds of head blows and football you are guaranteed to have car like collisions multiple times a game.
Put another way to casual and expert fans - why would you have the same protocol when the risk levels is exponentially different? If you disagree with me - please explain that?
Yeah. Its simply unbelievable. Just insane. This season can not end soon enough. This is just absurd. Can somebody put together a chart, never seen a team this injured in my life. We've basically had 6 players this season who could play anywhere near 100%.
because the only acceptable risk of stacking concussions is 0. Conventional thinking isn't always wrong and outside-the-box is sometimes goofy. You guys are just knee jerk conventional thinkers who in this case dispense with logic. The protocol is about waiting until the concussion is gone. Regardless of sport. You don't do ANY activities on the protocol.
Getting another injury is almost irrelevant because NO ONE even CONSIDERS playing with a concussion unless they're an insufferable turd like you.
Sometimes you have to sit in a dark room for days on end and do nothing when you have a concussion. That is how serious concussions are.
Vital will not play if he's not cleared. Even if we have to forfeit a national championship game because of it.
That's kind of a stupid thing to say

Name calling is a poor substitute for a coherent response. How does the mild concussion get worse if he had played?
Of course, everyone realizes Vital won't play if he isn't cleared. I am challenging the logic that all sports are treated the same in the UConn process. To relate to the casual fan, is it unreasonable to let someone walk to the bathroom while on protocol? Or walk from their dorm to the basketball facility? So for different activities we do assume different risk factors. Sports are activities, so why wouldn't you assume common sense risk ratings? For instance - perhaps bowling or golf should assume a lower risk than boxing. So you are saying those activities should be treated exactly the same as boxing when you get repeated blows to the head? To me, that's an ill informed and crazy approach.
Honest question, and try for once to respond like a person who's capable of conversing like a normal person: have you ever heard the phrase "second impact syndrome"?
