Both had opportunities handed to them on the proverbial silver platter today. Neither did much with them. Hope that changes...the opportunities aren't going away anytime soon.

I hate negativity but it seemed to me that both Kiah and Chong disrupted whatrever offensive flow we had. They both had several chances to make entry passes but were a split second too late or telegraphed them.
Sonia
Maybe it's me but I think "Stokes and Chong" has a better ring to it.
Kiniyah?
Need a fifth shooting threat out there to keep the pressure off the others. Soniya was decent on defense, but they weren't even guarding her on offense. She has to become a threat like early in the season to earn a player to guard her and keep a double off her teammates. She's capable, but need to express her deadly intent to earn a defender. Got some time to work on it tho.
Was happy to see Geno starting her and letting her get some court time.
I think Sonia is a nice name too (Henry). It's not too common a name, Soniya. Do we know how she pronounces it? I've never heard her take on it. Does she emphasize the i before the y? Sometimes Americans will drop the i or y. Western culture would demand the i and y pronounced separately.

Uh, because we like NC's?I don't believe there are any teams around that have 5 shooting threats, so I'm not sure why Uconn needs them.
uh, you don't need 5 shooting threats to win NC's.Uh, because we like NC's?
Apparently Geno doesn't agree with some of you guys....
From John A.:
Freshman Saniya Chong started for the first time and played a career-high 37 minutes without scoring. She took just three shots with two rebounds and one assist. “I thought she was great,” Auriemma. “She did nothing to tell me she was overwhelmed. Little by little she will get the hang of it. Right now, the bigness of the situation is weighing on her mind. But she handled herself well and she’ll be better Wednesday [against Central Florida].”
