Even if deep down I’m not as confident of them winning it all as in past years, I can’t make a bracket that doesn’t have them winning. I’ll happily go down with the ship because my tournament interest severely falls off once they’re out anyway.

I guess I don’t understand people. My friend is a St. John’s fan for 30 years so in our little $10 tourney pool he picks Duke over St. John’s and Duke to win it all. I mean St. John’s was not some 10 seed, they should have been a 3 based on their performance yesterday alone. They actually had the talent to go all the way, not so far fetched. I hate when people calls themselves realists. You want reality? It has been proven, without any doubt, that encouragement and belief from outside sources increases performance and chance of success. So even if you "believe' they won't win it all you'd be doing them a favor by saying you think they will.

Could not agree more. Tradition sucks.

Christmas? Who needs that every year? Giving and receiving presence gets old. We've all done that before. Thanksgiving? Frankly, I don't even like my relatives and friends all that much. Why the hell do I want to get together with them. We reminisce about the same old stories and laugh at a lot of of the same jokes. It gets old.

For my perspective, it's a couple of days. Let the guys who enjoy it, do and let the guys who don't not look at the thread. That said you know my position on board administration positions. It's your party and I'll do whatever you want.
