Yes, you can be. I choose not to be. Doesn't matter the month, if they play a game, I want them to win it. I save my "objective realism" for the football team.
 
I've always likened game chat to the corner neighborhood dive bar; A safe space for uninhibited a$$hats to talk stupid shiite in real time. A poster in there may get under my skin once in a while, but I'm not in favor of bringing any of it into the light of day.

You all truly need to relax, I’ve supported UConn longer than most people on this board have been alive. You can be cautiously optimistic about a team in December and still be a fan, like truly take it a notch down.

Everyone is wrong sometimes. A LOT of people here thought Michigan was overrated. How are THOSE people feeling now? Truth is, they have been strong all year and look insanely strong right now.

Wouldn’t you rather be wrong having faith in your team than right being pessimistic?

Just say you were right and they lost last game. Big deal. You get nothing from it. No one here remembers or cares. You’re not going to say “Back in 2026, I was right picking the east region bracket”
