Checking receipts.....

I’m always annoyed at my predictions like this. I said losing in the final four. But once we get to the final four, do I expect us to lose? Heck no! What a maroon.

Wouldn’t you rather be wrong having faith in your team than right being pessimistic?

Just say you were right and they lost last game. Big deal. You get nothing from it. No one here remembers or cares. You’re not going to say “Back in 2026, I was right picking the east region bracket”

Yeah I mean, me voting in this random poll affects me in zero ways regardless. I get nothing from any of it no matter what.

I just thought I’d be honest about what I thought would happen. But once you get to the F4 you feel like you’re going to win.

My bracket every year has them winning it all since 1990. Been right 6 times. 17% of the time I am right. If u take out years they weren't in it, its 23%. That's better than prognosticators on ESPN et al I am sure.
Im in a pool every year with about 70 people from Virginia where I went to school and Ive won every single time Uconn wins going back to 99.

Funny thing about the tourney is that every win makes the next one possible... Picking them to win one game 6 times is far easier than predicting them to win 6 games.

I picked them in my bracket too. We all know that if we play well and shoot even average, we will survive most games. It takes a real clunker for this team to lose most nights.
And outside of SJU and AZ, the issues with Creighton and Marquette with them lacking focus, essentially, are unlikely to appear in the Final flippin' Four

Yeah we’re winning it all. Learned my lesson, never picking against us in one of these polls again

3. The "Jordan Hawkins is a Bust" Crowd

Early in Jordan Hawkins' career, his shooting was inconsistent and he struggled with injuries (concussions).

  • The Take: "Hawkins is all hype. He’s a 'traffic cone' on defense and can't handle the physicality of the Big East. We missed on this one."
  • Who said it: A subset of posters known for "Game-Thread Overreactions." During his freshman year, users like "HuskiesFanatic" (and various anonymous guests) frequently posted that he was a "bust" every time he missed his first two shots.
  • The Receipt: Hawkins became a lottery pick in the NBA Draft after one of the most dominant shooting performances in NCAA Tournament history in 2023.
But is, as of today, trending towards "bust" in the NBA. Hopefully he can get off the Pelicans and thrive elsewhere, but that remains to be seen

How on Earth can someone call themselves a UConn fan and then predict they'll lose in the opening round to a 15 seed ? How do you live with yourself ?! LOL
How do I live with myself?

I'm better than this place and don't care about the opinions expressed here. It's a source of pride.

Consider it a comment on my relative esteem for the Boneyard community.
