When his strength catches up with his skill for his age, he could be very, very good. Nice left hand and nice touch on his shot. What position in college? 4 or 5?

It's much harder to gain skill than weight..(especially when you're over 30, but I digress). I don't know much about Chance, but I like what I see, and usually guys are rated high for a reason. He looks like he has actual basketball skills, even if he's not an uber athlete. I prefer someone like him over Govan for UConn's style as he can get up and down the court and finish. He kind of reminds me of a smaller John Henson/Loren Woods type. That's not a bad thing.

Not sure what to think when I read posts criticizing a recruit's game. Obviously everyone has a right to an opinion. On the other hand, it's likely that a player's family, friends or even the recruits themselves could lurk on this forum, and we don't want to send the message that we have a critical or negative fan base. In a small way we are part of this recruitment process too and every little thing matters when a kid is on the fence about choosing a school. If the staff is recruiting him that is good enough for me. They see the potential and they scout the kid live, certainly not drawing conclusions from a handful of youtube videos.

I am a big fan of being careful on this board in regards to what we post. Many of us are told things and becuause the people telling us know we are on the Boneyard remind us the info is not for public knowledge.

I like mauconnfan's game. A good finisher with some decent word skills. Lot's to work with.
BTW, I also like Chance's game. He knows his way around a basketball court it appears.

That take all the fun out of it. I'm a fan of letting each speak their mind

I can only assume he will play both. But his versatility allows you to not only play him in multiple positions but play multiple sets as a team.

I've wanted him to come to Storrs for a long time; as a stretch 4 I think he can be similar to DD was offensively at 4 while providing more of a rim protector. To me his style of play resembles Chris Bosh alot, obviously not at the same level.

247 has him as a Zona lean. If he commits the Goodman hate will reach new levels. Now that I think about it, Ollie messing around in California which has been Arizona country of late is probably the reason for the JG shmear campaign.

Reads like you know exactly what to think, and what you think makes a lot of sense to me.

Chance C. is the Dean Chance of UCONN hoops; a true left coast flamethrower who you want on the hill in the big game at crunch time; he throws a heavy ball that the opponents cannot handle and are secretly afraid of/ Mr. C with Amida & Co. have a future of twinkling stars

Chance is definitely perfect for the program and will benefit from Ollie and Uconn's style of basketball. Another NBA 1ST OR 2ND rounder after being here.
