CD was at Saniya's game today (Fri 2/17)

Saniya’s team, Ossining, beat Mahopac 73 – 34 this afternoon. Ossining will now host Horace Greeley in the quarter finals of the local Class AA tournament, on Tuesday (2/21).

I thought CD might be at this game because Ossining’s next game (if they won today) was going to be Tuesday (2/21), the same day the UConn women play Pitt, at Pitt.

Saniya’s shooting was a little off today. She ended up with 17 pts.(maybe a little nervous with CD there?). She had 14 assists, demonstrating an excellent ability to give her teammates crisp, clean passes when they were in a position to score. She played good, solid defense getting several steals and moved her feet well to stay in front of people.

I’m looking forward to Tuesday’s game……and then on to the semifinals.

The assists are whats getting my attention. She should fit in very nicely getting the ball into the post and running the fast break. Ive gotta wonder if what recruits will be at the ND game????

BTW: I just saw on some site that Ossining is ranked #29 nationally and #1 in New York State. Presumably that latter number means they are considered better than Nazareth and Cicero in one service.

Mahopac did try to slow the game down and was somewhat successful as the score indicates, though the outcome of the game was never in question after the first minute or two. The other two games I’ve seen Ossining play were conducted at an extremely fast pace, .......as you said “usually frenetic pace”.

I think the sectional semis and finals, of both boys and girls basketball, in all classes (AA – C) are played at the Westchester County Center…….probably starting the weekend of (2/25 2/26). Check this LINK and or this LINK on Thursday of next week to be sure.
