CBB Discussion Week 7

Markus Howard has 25 straight points for Marquette. 40 in the second half. Just raining threes on Buffalo. Not sure I’ve ever seen a college player this on fire.

They went 60% from 3. Tough to beat that, he scored 45. How did they lose 2 games? Howard went 13-19. Rest of team 9-16. Buffalo is still a good and tough team. Going to get a lot of ink at tourney time, but you still need luck.

Lunardi's Bracketology...

Has Cincinnati and Houston as six seeds...

Palm has Houston as a 3 seed...Cincinnati as an 8
Both also have UCF as an 11 if I remember correctly

Crazy, nobody in the country gets hot like him. Already had another 45 point night this season and 52 on Providence last year. 25 straight points is just absurd.

Wichita State...not repping well, down 17 to VCU.
Is there a big diff between the AAC and A10?

Tulane lost to freaking 0-11 Alabama A&M.

So, Wichita is not as good. Big difference overall between conferences?

A10 down this year, too. Difference slightly larger than the difference between AAC and Pac 12.

Unless one of the teams runs away with the league, and posts a 16-2 or something close, the A10 will be a one bid league for the first time in about a decade. Usually we have a team that's a borderline Top 25 team like Rhode Island last year, and another strong at large candidate like Bona was, but not this year. The league is wide open, and pretty much anyone other than LaSalle, GW, and Fordham, has at least an outside chance of winning the league tournament. Davidson is probably the favorite, then VCU, but St. Joe's, Dayton, Duquesne, and St. Louis are all in the mix.
