I posted a similar thread about the Mt. RUSHMORE of CBB players last year, but this one seems like more fun.
Which 4 coaches do you put on your Mt Rushmore?

Do you go by wins and include JB and Huggins? (I know you don't, but why not?)

Do you go by stature, despite some...errr...transgressions? (B.Knight)

Or do you go by Wins, building a program and Natties? (Ummm...JC)

Obviously there are more to consider than these (Cal, Wooden, K, Dean Smith, etc.)

Have fun and play nice

I have to go with

Dan Hurley,
Kimani Young,
Tom Moore,
Luke Murray,

and I suggest moving the monument from South Dakota to Connecticut.
If someone can 3D print this I'd buy it

Jim Calhoun smiling
Jim Calhoun swearing
Jim Calhoun yelling
Jim Calhoun frowning
You have to lead with JC yelling as he's pulling someone off the court for a bonehead play. A few times I was worried he'd have a stroke in the process.

Then JC swearing as said bonehead play unfolds. He was a master at profanity but it was these instances where he truly shined.

JC yelling in general about what he views as a subpar effort from more than one player should be next. This qualifies more so o quantity than quality. It happened far too often to be ignored.

The last should be the serious but also pleased look when we won an important game primarily by having greater will (which came from JC) than our opponent. This embodies everything he was about and everything he did for our program and our school.

I'm not saying Hurley belongs yet. But I went to the Dairy Bar this afternoon and had the Hurley Almond Swirley. Just outstanding.

K
Wooden
Calhoun
Knight
Not a bad list (but I don't like the order).

I could argue, considering what each program was when he took over, that Denny Crum has as much of a claim as Bobby Knight. Indiana was an historic program with a couple titles under their belt and they were the marquis men's hoops program in a major conference. Louisville was arguably second in their home town (UK played games in Freedom Hall every year to stake a claim on the fan base in Louisville) and they played in second rate conferences (Missouri Valley, Metro, Great Midwestern/CUSA).

Wooden, Dean Smith, Coach K, Jim Calhoun

Don’t forget what a young JC did at Northeastern.

I would include Tarkanian because fudge the NCAA and their hypocritical double standard on enforcement.

Tark would be in the towel MtRushmore of coaches. Tark for chewing, JT over the shoulder, Gary Williams for wiping his sweaty self, who’s the 4th???
