I'm going to turn my focus to AAC expansion. Does Western Florida exist?

University of West Florida is starting up a D2 football team. Inaugural season is this fall. Get UCF, USF, UNF, UWF, FAU and FIU in to a conference. Call it the Sunshine Home In Those Towns Yes Conference.

If this all works out somehow and we end up at the table in any conference, I want to know what everyone plans to do with the multiple hours of their life that will return when the CR board gets shuttered. Looking at you Dooley! Not starting this now because we are far from being out of the woods. Just will be curious!
Let's be real: This board stays open until we're in the B1G.

CR board Shuttered? NEVER! Fishy will just take a cue from
the West Virginia board & rename it the Conference board.

I don't want to row against B1G dreams, but given the source(s) being deep into ACC territory, wouldn't a likely explanation be that Notre Dame has agreed to fold in its Football into some contract with ESPN, thus requiring the ACC to get a 16th member, hence UCONN?!? Especially given the talks of ACC network being bolstered recently, seems like some paradigm must have changed to make all this happen.... That being said, seems like ND can't keep a secret to save its life, so I would have imagined we'd have heard of ND departing NBC by now....

The CR board should be given a proper burial at sea, at minimum the non-key tweets thread.

Shouldn't the board remain alive, in some form, at least until the next rounds of Big 10 and SEC expansion play out and the resulting dominos have all fallen? I, for one, would not want to face that maelstrom without having Conspiracy Kitty around here to make sense of it for me.

If we end up in the Big 12 we will need to keep this board because until the GoR is up or a new one is signed, we will always be worried about what happens when Texas and OK leave the conference.

OT: This is about the 5th or 6th post of yours I've read this morning, and I can't get past how distracting your avatar is.

Ran into my WF RR source yesterday at the car wash . He asked if I've been reading up on the Big 12, ACC etc... I said not really. He said remember what I told you about an announcement coming in June? Yes, I do was my reply. He then said your Huskies will be a happy bunch very soon and to not believe the naysayers. There will be conference shifts and UCONN will not be overlooked this time and many believe they have a lot to offer, especially with what's left out there. The move and announcement will HUGE and will benefit all involved. Keep your chin up he said, your getting ready to make a news splash very soon.

Iguess I need to go to a new car wash, my car wash only has bikini clad females, not rumors on CR... :D

I'm going to head over to Florida St, Notre Dame and Virginia message boards and post about UConn.

There is a guy on the Friar site that seems to have a contact within the B1G and he messages me updates from time to time because he knows I follow it from a distance and he sent me one yesterday that said expansion is definitely back on the table for the B1G. He said the options currently being explored are UVA and UNC being the main focus but there is a group wanting KU and Oklahoma because they believe they would jump instantly.

You guys can hash out how the chips fall in either of these scenarios. I would think if the ACC teams were to go it would leave you as a shoe-in for the ACC. If the Big 12 schools left it might be the death nail for that conference with Texas and somebody else jetting to the Pac 12

The B1g can have Kansas any time it wants. I doubt there is a real sense of urgency to bring them on board, especially with how little they actually add.

All Due Respect (of course I'm about to disrespect you...meant in jest, of course.), but (NSFW):

I mean really, what does this bring to the table that a few Tims and Tickles from West Virginia, Star Wars characters, serial washer of one's car, or a North Star haven't already offered?

If that is true, then it likely means that Georgia Tech and Florida State have signed off on heading to the B1G.

That would explain why the ACC has a greater sense of urgency for a network and their need to bring ND into the fold. I would guess that the UNCs and UVAs of the ACC really don't want to move...but the ACC needs to make the financial situation better before they commit longterm. And adding ND and UConn could make the ACCN possible.

UConn and ND would end any chance of the B1G poaching the ACC. It would put the Big 12 squarely in the crosshairs of anyone else looking to expand.
