In all seriousness, I don't know if your act is some kind of shtick or attempt at humor. If it is, good for you. You get a rise out of people and you must get off on that.

If what you post on these boards is really your thought process......oh man!

Take a deep breath, remove the hysterical emotion and explain to me when you have a charter plane ready to evacuate a hurricane , why is it safer to remain there for a category 5?

Its disappointing, but it's also the right decision. Are we really that surprised? I mean besides the Chief? It's pretty obvious that they might end up not being able to get back home at all before their next game. But, hey, who cares as long as Chief gets his game. And that soccer mom bs has to just stop.

A good majority of USF players are from South Florida/Florida. And those kids have families. Bet your ass I'd be wherever my family was during a state of emergency.

So are you saying - if you were in Tampa - you would be traveling to Miami - to be closer to a Category 5 hurricane? Never mind most gas stations have run out of gas or soon will. But the point is the trip makes no sense.

What is it about hurricanes that makes people buy perishable foods and post really dumb things?

Like the garbage you post? You really are tone deaf, aren't you?

It's because USF does not want to be stuck here. They more than likely could not get back. Yes the game could have been played. Chief is right, and the Righteous Indignants wrong. Nobody denies the players from USF want to be with family. But what if one gets washed out to sea when he could have been safe in East Hartford or thereabouts?

We are all being understanding UConn fans now. Let's see if that stays the same if we end the season with five wins and this game costs us a bowl game.

Read the last sentence of my post again

Do you really think any of these 18-22 year old football players will be traveling 300 miles to Miami to be closer to a Category 5?
It's unclear if they could even get gas.

You really thought we would win this game? I'm always hopeful, but weren't they pretty heavy favorites?

What's the old saying, folks? "It's 11:00--make a wish." Well, here we are. In honor of 11:11, we make a wish that this game is brought back to us. I lament for the beers gone stale, briskets gone rancid, and the livers gone unharmed, if this game does not return. But just like God delivered the Israelites from Egyptian bondage, he too will deliver us from the false logic of those trying to be with their families during a category 5 hurricane. At 11:11 tonight, we will collectively wish that the foolish brass change their minds and we get our GD football. In Chief we trust.

We'll get a waiver if there aren't enough 6 win teams. On the bright side, we have a decent chance of starting 2-0.

They definitely can't get any near Miami. I have a good friend near Jacksonville and most gas stations were out of gas two days ago. And I-75N is a parking lot.

My friend these kids are not traveling to be with their families in Miami or Ft Lauderdale. Who would suggest that risky trip and destination?

But that game was in Florida
Come on you are smarter than this. It is about them getting back to Florida and somewhere safe before the storm arrives. It does not have to do with playing in a hurricane.

Really? You're not getting my point? Those kids have families that hopefully are preparing to evacuate. Wherever those families end up is where their sons should be. End of story.

Tampa is roughly the same distance to Miami that Hartford is to Montreal.

Being in Tampa is fairly useless with respect to this storm.

There is nothing they can do in the midst of a storm and being in the area is dopey by any measure. If families haven't evacuated already, they are already on the edge of too late.
