Can we win with Tor Watts as our 12th scoring option?

There is a very worrisome drop off in the back court after Napier, Boat, Calhoun, Samuel, and Kromah.
Says Tim Welch...very deep front court and shallow back court after Shabazz and Boat.

.-.
If Lenehan doesn't get his act together soon, we're toast. The Temples and SMUs of the world will eat us alive.

We also have a glaring lack of farming experience, should we find ourselves stuck in a tight game in the closing minutes and needing to grow some beets.

I see some serious beet downs coming our way. This scares me.

And just two weeks ago, we thought our front court had no depth.

Welch remains one of the biggest tools on the air.

He will stick with this all season. Over all he talked up UConn. At least he felt UConn could be the sixth best team in the country.

He had no postseason wins in 10 years as the coach at Providence, and no postseason wins in 10 days as the coach at Hofstra. He was consistent with his lack of production, regardless of time denomination.

NIT!

NIT!

Funny you should say that because one of the announcers last night said we did not have depth in the backcourt

I was most impressed that he didn't go for the up fakes this game. Kid is a quick learner.

Saw something last night that makes me love Amida even more - now he's getting mad at his teammates for fouling guys as they're driving into the lane towards him. He wants those guys to try and shoot over him because he knows he's blocking it.

The only recruiting site that a ranking for this kid was 247sports, which ranked him as #226 in his class.

But he likes to party!!!!

Word is because we're so thin in the backcourt after Tor Watts that we're gonna move from 19 to 20 this week, after 18 to 19 last week. They're also saying that we might drop from the top 25 because we should have beaten Detroit by 75.

.-.
I couldn't help but laugh when he said that

As he was saying it and before he said "Shabazz and Boat" I thought he was referring to Detroit.

I don't think Welch is all that bad. Many, many worse out there.

I'm more concerned with Linnehan's ability to score in the paint.

Linehan makes up for it with steals, he's a great defender - but aren't we courting NCAA sanctions by playing someone who may have used up his eligibility at PC?

Didn't Linehan play like 7 seasons at PC anyway??? Sure seemed that way. Him and many of those Pitt guys.
