We were ranked when Corny, Mike McKay and Chuck (he''s dead to me now) Aleksinas were here. That was 80-82 after we joined the Big East.
It didn’t take long for Perno to flop. Same with Raftery at Seton Hall. Both ok pre BE. Doormats in the BE. We were alway trying to avoid the 8-9 game.

This man is a force of nature. There are some people as tough as Jim Calhoun but there are none tougher. Best program buider in the modern era and for my money the best coach in the modern era.
