He has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt to be one of the greatest ever. If ever a man was truly made to be a college basketball coach, and a molder of young men into a team that could do more together than the sum of their parts, it is Jim Calhoun. His iron will, competitive fire and indomitable spirit is peerless.

You can not overstate how lucky we were to have him as the head of our men's basketball program for 26 years.

Not surprised at all. Jim Calhoun is one of the best coaches in the history of sports at any level. I love seeing Dan Hurley there to support him as well. Just another sign of how strong the UConn “family” really is.
