I'm not sure but I've heard that you can use a VPN to circumvent bypass restrictions.

Yes I went to the sling site directly to see if I could watch it there. When I couldn't I went to watchespn to long in via sling and it came up but says its blocked out in my area.

Well I got sling because I got rid of DirecTV (not by choice) and I assumed I could watch this game and others this season. Nope, says "blacked out in your area"... Not pleased. I hope this isn't going to be a season long issue.

It is. If you are in SNY's TV area and you choose not to go with a TV provider that carries SNY, then you're screwed.

There are VPN apps - you get onto a network that basically fools the provider into thinking you're out of area. I don't have the details, but others here can help you out. (If I was being blacked out I'd be all over it)
