Considering he sat out their last game to heal, it wouldn't exactly hurt their season to sit him for the UConn game as part of a suspension. If they lose they did so without one of their starters, if they win, they look even better. Probably depends a lot on if it was illegal drug/alcohol related.
If he's out, I am curious who starts in place of him. A three guard lineup with Wright/Saunders/Baker with Dybansta/Keita would be really small but quick against UConn. It would force Karaban to defend either Dybansta or one of the guards. Considering BYU plays like an NBA team that goes after mismatch over and over until the other team adjusts, that will be interesting to see.
Of course it leaves them exploitable inside. Keita is big, and athletic but Reed should make him look small if their height/weights are close to accurate. Karaban being on the perimeter negates a big chance to double the post with Dybansta also if BYU is in that small lineup (if Dybansta isn't on Karaban, he should be able to shoot over any of the guards).
