Also the guy that was going to guard Solo.Ouch he was 4th in their team in mpg
Not impossible he still makes the game, though, haven't seen anything official that he won't play.

Davis out
DUI is always an issue, but Is this a bigger deal st BYU than other schoolsAlso the guy that was going to guard Solo.

Wait, isn’t BYU a dry campus? 😉
Well said - only issue is these early games will weigh heavily on seeding.Love this test. This game won’t determine where we go. It will merely tell is where we are at the moment. I saw Alabama vs Purdue last night. Two good teams. Two complete games. Nobody will convince me that they are clearly better than us. If Hurley can get our D to be top 15, watch out.
Navery PIPain meds makes the most sense given the timeline of the arrest. It was 11:45 AM and he was supposedly on his way to the flight to Boston when he was hit and arrested
If he were playing for an SEC school? 100%. But BYU? I doubt he plays. A DUI is a DUI. Hell, some BYU kid got suspended for having sex a couple years ago. LOLWhat are the chances he plays Saturday? That’s all we’re wondering tbh.

I read some BYU kid got suspended for an entire season due to a DUI charge.
He wasn’t smart enough like Bouknight to just flee the scene. That alleged BYU education is meaningless. If he were playing for an SEC school? 100%. But BYU? I doubt he plays. A DUI is a DUI. Hell, some BYU kid got suspended for having sex a couple years ago. LOL

We’re not at full strength though. I’ll take whatever I can get.I want Davis to play I want them full strength !!!
Forget that. Teams pay consequences for not having a strong culture. That’s what sets us apart. Off the Court issues will be a huge factor, especially in the NIL era. This is why Hurley is so adamant about who he recruits and the families they come fromI want Davis to play I want them full strength !!!
I want a win. Nobody remembers who was healthy or not come March, they look at the Ws and Ls and seed you accordingly. We’re not at full strength though. I’ll take whatever I can get.
This is it. If BYU beats us, no one was going to say well there was no Braylon Mullins so . . .I want a win. Nobody remembers who was healthy or not come March, they look at the Ws and Ls and seed you accordingly.
The Baker lineup was horrible against Delaware. IF he's out (sounds like he's with the team in Boston now, but no word on his status yet), I could see them going with Mrus or Diomande, but maybe they start Baker and just play the other 2 more than they have in the past.Considering he sat out their last game to heal, it wouldn't exactly hurt their season to sit him for the UConn game as part of a suspension. If they lose they did so without one of their starters, if they win, they look even better. Probably depends a lot on if it was illegal drug/alcohol related.
If he's out, I am curious who starts in place of him. A three guard lineup with Wright/Saunders/Baker with Dybansta/Keita would be really small but quick against UConn. It would force Karaban to defend either Dybansta or one of the guards. Considering BYU plays like an NBA team that goes after mismatch over and over until the other team adjusts, that will be interesting to see.
Of course it leaves them exploitable inside. Keita is big, and athletic but Reed should make him look small if their height/weights are close to accurate. Karaban being on the perimeter negates a big chance to double the post with Dybansta also if BYU is in that small lineup (if Dybansta isn't on Karaban, he should be able to shoot over any of the guards).

Pain meds for Achilles tendonitis don't help much and simply mask underlying issues. Moreover, the typical meds for this purpose-- NSAIDs or something stronger like Voltaren-- don't cause sedation or lack of alertness. If anything, one could have an allergic response to the Voltaren, but this would usually involve breathing issues, hives, etc.I've seen random BYU fan speculation that it was a DUI involving pain meds for his achilles. No clue on the truthfulness of that. Still a DUI either way but it wouldn't be against BYU's code if it were prescribed.
