OT: - BY Teams Meeting | The Boneyard

OT: BY Teams Meeting

How do we set one up so we can at least see the people we disagree with?

No one here is everyone's cup of tea as a fellow poster but I sure as shit would pay to look some of you in the face as you spew.
There should be a game where people submit pictures of themselves and you have to match up the poster to what you believe they look like.

I like that a lot but too much room for error for what I'm looking to accomplish. Even a Teams meeting isn't the answer.

I'll pay the first $1K of a bar tab for a BY meetup but you have to register here first and are banned from the BY for life if you register and don't show up. And I'm not planning it or traveling more than 30 miles from greater Danbury area. This would be in the spirit of having a good time with fellow Yarders who are comfortable enough with themselves to speak in person like they type on this site.

That's @Fishy, right?

It could be just you and me @Jaydumo20 ! Can't build a community if you don't know who is really living amongst you.

Everyone welcome and encouraged to join. Differing opinions are encouraged like any good discussion. Unfortunately, the few posters who I'd like to meet in person won't have the sack or permission from their parents to show up. They won't even respond to this thread, let alone entertain the idea of an in person meetup to have their "voice" heard.

Regardless. I say we

I could but my face was plastered on here before due to one of the most famous Boneyard meetups of all time.

It should be at a beer garden with ample outdoor space. And, a game of dodgeball should ensue.

Maybe invite a few former players who have a beef with some of the keyboard warriors.

I wish I could do it in person, but I'm in Europe. If you ever do a Zoom or something, I'm in.

Or you can have a TV in the corner for the international Boneyard consortium for everyone to ignore us.

An assortment of games. Bocce, cornhole, lawn darts, make a BY Olympics. Have a 3-point shooting contest, lower the hoops to 9 feet (or 8...) and have a dunk contest.

Done. In deference to you as the host and footer of the bar tab, let’s meet at the bar at DeCicco’s Market in Brewster. Indoor/outdoor space, and there’s a strong likelihood there will be a beer on tap that meets the newly high standards of @Fishy

We actually used to have Boneyard golf tournaments back in the day.
Unbeknownst to those who attended the BYC, I had a body double attend the tournament in my place so no one would know who I really was.

Team Dognabbit won the tournament a couple of times but most of that had to do with having one ringer and the huge handicap that HooperScooper and I provided to the team.

I'd be remiss to not mention that DogPoundSr was part of our team, who's been primarily a lurker on the Boneyard, was also a member of the team, as well as his son on our first winning team who was our ringer that time and used to post on the Boneyard, maybe he still does.

Team AAAB, Iron Mike, temery, and an anonymous player, won the BYC.

It was the first time I ever had a golf club in my hand, and we won!

Note: AAAB and Iron Mike carried the team. But my final drive off of Cinderella Jones' son's chest, and a couple putts from a club I had never used until the tournament, sealed the deal.

(AAAB was our ringer. Iron Mike was a close second).

If your team didn’t drink 2 cases of beer, a bottle of Tangueray or roll your cart over, the win is meaningless at the BYC.
