I like it. I would put in Virginia instead of Kansas and keep Northwestern .It would give us a little more eastern rivals with Virginia.

Thought about it but NCST is attached to the UNC hip along with Duke

UConn popularity is now 22%. West Virginia is 25%. Maryland is 15%

This is pretty simple if it could be done. Omit the B12 and the AAC and consolidate some of their teams into other conferences. The only school that I would swap out of a conference would be Florida State. Then make four Power Conferences of 18 teams with two divisions of nine teams. This number of teams works perfectly for both football and for basketball. For football you play each team in your division once. Then football would hold its conference playoff championship game between be the winner of each division. For a Football Final Four the winners would meet to determine a champion as is done now. Having 18 teams does work for basketball as well. You play every team in your conference once for a 17 game conference schedule.

Yeah..the KEY word in that whole thing is FOOTBALL. Last I knew PC didn't give scholarships and play FBS level football.

pretty crappy score but it seems most teams - even North Carolina - are between 20 and 30% anyway. can't have all great teams especially if grouping by geography.

figured i'd concentrate on not just the east but the Atlantic coast since no one ever talks about the A10 here (i suppose with good reason)..

1. I rekindled some of the old Big East rivalries with Uconn, BC, Syr and Pitt
2. added other regional rivalries with Fla-Miami, NC-NC St, Va-WVa
3. added a decent football presence with Fla, Miami and to some degree Louis, BC and Md
4. and of course there's the strong basketball presence with UConn, Fla, Louis, NC, Syr

i know i'm breaking up the Duke-NC rivalry but that's what realignment does. plus i hate Duke and don't want them in my conference.
