If it bothers you do not read it. This board and life itself is not centered around your sensitive feelings.

You know for some it reminds people of the keyboard bullies on Facebook and other social media sites. The same thing kids are struggling with and in extreme cases committing suicide. To some (i.e. posters) its funny to others its reminiscent of cyber bullying being perpetuated to the Boneyard. Its not about sensitivity its about being aware and respectful of the current social topic of bullying. So you have those that are comfortable with bullying and others who are not. I'm much older than a lot of posters but it alarms me the comfort and the tone of criticism towards this young woman who happens not to be pretty, gangling and large.

Just imagine a world where we berated and made fun of anyone that doesn't look right? Oh wait that's high school.

It bothers me that people think it's a big deal that she dunks. She's 6' gdamn 8" I sure hope she can dunk. She probably has a vertical of like 8 inches (waits for someone take a joke of the last sentence.)

But she can't actually dunk.......if you can you would do it in traffic so she can't.....she's pried a few in but thats it.....she's a good women's player. She couldn't play community college basketball for men!!........even if she is one lol

Am I the only one who thought this was a serious thread and that Britney had a brother named Brian. After reading one post I realized I was wrong of course.

The concerns about being insensitive and hurting Britney's feelings are certainly valid.
I also understand that it is of high importance to those who are of the politically correct mindset to protect the rights of those who are different, including hermaphrodite and transexual individuals. I certainly believe that everyone should be treated with dignity and respect.
However, there are several things about Britney (the deep voice, prominent Adam's apple, masculine shape of shoulders and hips snd perhaps most importantly the fact that there are no other women in the world who share Britney's combination of size and athleticism...not even among the African tribes where seven foot tall men are common) that raise questions regarding Britney's true gender.
Now, the NCAA has made it clear from other cases that transgender players are allowed to compete as women. The international track and field organizations used to exclude transexuals and hermaphrodites from female competition, but at the last Olympics they have clearly revised that position.
The problem is that Britney is being hailed as the most dominant player in the history of women's basketball. I feel that it is a problem if the person with this title were not a true 46XX female, no matter how politically incorrect that may sound.

Pretty funny that it says 360 dunk in the title and that wasn't even a 180.

I hear what you're saying but until we saw LeBron James nobody would have believed a 6'8", 250-pound man could do the things he does, either. She's the best.

People said the same stuff and made the same unoriginal jokes about Martina Navratilova. Any female athlete who's not feminine gets questioned -- and insulted.

And what is she, if not a woman? Do you think she should be playing men's basketball if her hormones are abnormal?

And HFD, we're all adults here who have seen a lot of terrible things. We're hardly scandalized by your drivel. You may wear your un-PC philosophy as a badge of honor, but the people I associate with don't see it that way. You have every right to post (to the extent the admins allow it), and others have every right to call it out for what it is. And the reason we do that is to show any woman or gay person who might come here that this site is a welcoming place for them to read and comment about UConn basketball.

Sometimes I forget a lot of the posters here are 18 year old morons. Then i read threads like this and I'm reminded.
I think you are being generous with your age assessment.

I don't care if she's a man or a woman or some combination thereof. My concern is that she is a BULLY. She tossed Stef Dolson to the floor TWICE. The first time she received a flagrant foul, the second was not called. Not sure if her problem is roid rage, too much testosterone or her need to be both BIG & BAD, the fact of the matter is that there should be no place in a basketball game for that kind of behavior. If she wants to act that way, she should be playing hockey!
