As soon as Schoen was hired, here is the problem with the Rooney, now the Giants were dumb enough to let the news leave the room.
 
Flores is a good coach and should be a HC somewhere, but as a bettor I'm more concerned with the Dolphins owner trying to pay Flores $100k to fix the games. Isn't that a felony?? Vegas cannot be too happy to hear about that.

By far the least concerning allegations in the complaint involve the Giants. If found true Miami will be looking for a new owner.

I was surprised they interviewed him in the first place. He was fired from Dolphins for not being on the "same page " with the GM and QB so why would a brand new GM stick his neck out? Would you?

What did they do wrong? Rooney rule requires them to interview minority candidates. They did that. So what if Daboll
Was the favorite. Giants hired Jerry Reese 12 years ago to be GM. Explain that

Nothing forced Flores to go interview. Maybe if he did a better job explaining why he couldn’t get along in Miami he would have a job.

Im sooo glad the Giants hired Daboll

You're supposed to interview candidates before you make a hire not after. Flores didn't get an interview for a job, they wasted his time.

Daboll was hired on Friday. Flores was interviewed on Thursday. The text, the only evidence, did not say a hire had been made. He wants it to, but it did not. If you think employers do not have a favorite but interview other candidates in all walks of life you are mistaken. Also, Flores was 100% a real candidate for the Giants.
 
Wonder if Belichek intentionally made a mistake by sending that text.

The commish will have to deal with the Rooney rule and an owner trying to throw games.

One black head coach in the entire NFL? Tomlin goes to the playoffs pretty much every year, yet most Steelers fans call for his firing every year. How many years have we heard Bienemy deserved a shot? Flores won 8 of last 9 games and got fired. He was the public's pick for the Giants job in every poll I saw, and who got it?

I feel that it's so much harder for a Black coach to get a head coaching job and once they get one (as few and far between as they are) they're held to a different standard for success.

How would you know? Did John Mara or Steve Tisch tell you that?

Do you think it's possible they interviewed the most obvious minority head coach candidate just to satisfy the Rooney Rule? Which is what most people think and why the Rooney Rule is pretty much a sham.

It congratulated him before he was interviewed, obviously thinking he was Daboli. That’s more than someone would say to a mere favorite.

Belichek doesn’t strike me as the kind of guy who would jump the gun unless he was sure. But I’m sure the discovery in the lawsuit will ferret out who knew what, when and how. It won’t be hard.
 
The Giants also interviewed Patrick Graham and Leslie Frazier.

From a legal standpoint, aren’t the Bellichick texts simply hearsay?
