Will we ever know why they decide what they decide?

If they don't like something about a school that recruited them, why would they knock that school and then have to face the derision from the fans of the rejected school, if the two teams should meet up later.

And, if the reason is the coach's personality, or the weight of the cash bag, ditto for the above.

Kids being kids though, they may leak it out, but usually their handlers try to thwart a revealing tweet or interview.

Kids have a right to choose for whatever reason.
We totally need a Hard Knocks of this stuff - make it happen Netflix

Not sure how credible Zanetto is or his contacts are but had a blurb on his pod today that his Midwest contact with IU ties said there is no way Mullins is leaving the Midwest.

he's not very uh, perceptive. the 'source' seems like an enthusiastic indiana booster who thinks money will be everything. the only info there is that indiana will spend big on him.

For a long time I hadn't been hearing anything about 'home visits' with recruits and all of a sudden it has come up a couple times this week including with Mullins evidently thursday. Additionally, all of a sudden multiple coaches are being simultaneously invited to 'open workouts' for a player as part of the recruitment, (Thomas, Burries). Is that a new 'thing'? We used to focus on getting a home visit to line up an official visit, and now it is the other way around?

Home visits were more common when there were more limits of visits.

I think now it's mostly for when kids are sick of traveling to go on OVs, honestly.

It's also partly due to recruiting calendar. Today is the first day of the "recruiting period" aka contact period that lasts most of the school year. We were mostly in dead + quiet periods in August and dead+live in July. Those periods don't allow coaches to go visit players at their home or school (Live lets them see them at an event, Quiet lets the recruits come on visits to college but not vice versa).

So this is kinda the equivalent of professional teams calling their top free agent choices at 12:01 or whatever.

I'm sorry, but any chance the slides with socks fad will be gone soon??
Remember dads with socks and sandals years ago??
I don't like the look either but I had a son who played AAU basketball so I understand why they do it. After games or practice they take off their basketball shoes, because they don't wear those off the court, and throw on slides rather than changing into another pair of sneakers. They're comfortable and easy to "slide" on or off. So I get it despite it reminding me of some old guy with Birkenstocks and white socks.
