Have to say even if IU doesnt land Mullins the 247 staff has done an outstanding job of covering this recruitment. They’re really all over the day to day updates with meaningful info.

According to them no decision has been made but it could also be them preserving the relationship with the kid and not spoiling the announcement. We’ll see.

Again, an IU fan here. Hope to engage as it appears IU will be going up against UCONN for the foreseeable future for top HS recruits. Woodson's philosophy is this below:

1.) Recruit HS kids
2.) Get 1 or 2 HS kids to commit
3.) Go Get "veteran" guys via the portal to replace those leaving, assemble the team and see what happens.(This is what this years team is). This team should be DANG good, compete for a top two spot in the big ten conference AND should be at a minimum sweet 16.

If Kentucky is any guide, it quickly turns back to basketball at the first downturn. But they can forestall that for a bit with a little bit of luck since they don't play a ranked team until November 9th (and Michigan may not even be ranked by then).
