Makes sense. I think we need to play ourselves into a 4 seed at this point.
Someone else can confirm but I thought top 4 seeds in each region get some preference on locationThere is very little difference between 5 and 4 seeds. It's really about matchups in the 1st round. Now if UConn get upgraded to a 3 seed then that would be better for them. Probably need to win BET.
Unless we win the BE TourneyCommittee won't gift us MSG. Need a run to leave no doubt. It's hard to argue us above X since they beat us twice.
IU had two starters go down with injuries mid season. They are starting to play as a team now with an all American putting up some big numbersThe thing is, Indiana and Kansas St also did it to themselves. Kansas St lost to Butler! By double figures! And have lost 5 of their last 7.
Indiana also had a stretch where they lost 5 of 7 and got swept by Northwestern.
All 3 teams had crappy stretches, but our good stretch was the best of the 3 and our numbers reflect that.
We did this to ourselves.
But….The metrics ?
Told everyone they were bs. This is a lesson in OOC scheduling going forward. We did this to ourselves.

That we shouldn't play in big tournaments pre big east conf play? What is the ooc scheduling fix ? Not to play cupcakes ?Told everyone they were bs. This is a lesson in OOC scheduling going forward.
Less cupcakes and better quality cupcakes. The tournaments and challenges are fine. That we shouldn't play in big tournaments pre big east conf play? What is the ooc scheduling fix ?

UConn is right there and should be in if they just take care of business over the next few weeks
This makes no sense. When you look at our total body of work, we are pretty solidly a top-10 or 15 team. We have only dropped in rankings/seedlings because we haven’t played as well within the conference. We have great OOC wins! And the advanced metrics - which could be overrating us or underrating others, I don’t know - should predict our performance going forward, not our seeding.Told everyone they were bs. This is a lesson in OOC scheduling going forward.
I would hazard a guess UConn only team in country that went 5-0 in OOC vs P6.Less cupcakes and better quality cupcakes. The tournaments and challenges are fine.
It makes perfect sense actually because the B10 is by FAR the most overrated conference every year in college basketball.Indiana over UConn makes no sense whatsoever. They're worse in every metric.

Seth Davis had UConn at 14 too. I wonder if the NCAA committee will be swayed by the overwhelming consensus that they have UConn too low (and other Big East teams too) and some others like Indiana and K-State, too high.![]()
Men's college basketball Power Rankings: Alabama stays No. 1 but is it time to talk Kansas?
Despite the loss at Tennessee (which got the Win of the Week), the Crimson Tide hold onto the top spot -- but the No. 1 competition is heating up.www.espn.com

14. UConn Huskies (20-7)
Previous ranking: In the waiting room
This week: vs. Providence (Wednesday), at St. John's (Saturday)
UConn felt like the biggest surprise omission from the NCAA's bracket reveal Saturday afternoon. The Huskies are in the top 10 in the NET and the top 10 of every predictive metric -- while also possessing five Quadrant 1 wins, including against Alabama by 15, Iowa State by 18 and Marquette by 15. Their home loss to the Red Storm during a difficult 1-5 stretch in January is the lone negative on the résumé, although none of the profiles in the 4-seed range are without imperfections. UConn has four games left, and should be the favorite in all. Running the table until the Big East tournament would likely secure a top-four seed, leaving the mock reveal a distant memory.
Borzello has always looked at UConn favorably and without bias. Might be the only ESPN guy I can tolerate.![]()

He still hesitates when he gets the ball and they sag off him. He needs to be aggressive. For the first time all year he looked confident attacking the rim. Hopefully it wasn't just a blip and he can keep it up through the rest of the year, because he needs to be a net positive when he's on the court.
He grew up a UConn fan.Borzello has always looked at UConn favorably and without bias. Might be the only ESPN guy I can tolerate.
Man were you close. That's 13 losses in the AP poll this week, 3 today in the 16 seeded teams and 9 total in the 16 seeded teams, 10 while including the next four.
I think it should be something like this next week for BE teams:
Marquette - 9 (10)
X - 17 (16)
UConn -18 (18)
Creighton - 20 (19)
PC - 22 (20)
ok, which super duper espn thing is the one?![]()
