duck the catholics. They are dead to me. I don't ever want to see Providence or St. John's or Georgetown ever again. There are plenty of other top basketball programs to play.
I'm not impressed. Obviously the BIG and ACC are not buying that resume.MAC football is substandard football.
The C7 teams will not be a part of the association that will replace the NCAA.
UConn has competed well against Pitt, Cuse, Louisville and Rutgers. It more than held its own--in fact, it has a winning record combined against these schools.

Yea, there were always a good program especially with JC. I'm just not feeling great about them or Temple. Perhaps 15 years from now but hopefully that won't happen.Who cares? We need to progress, not digress. Ever hear of the Memphis Tigers' basketball program? The Temple Owls' basketball program? We can schedule the C7 OOC.
Nope, never sacrifice. Just win where ever you are works for me ... for FB. Winning equals fans equals bigger stadium equals interest from bigger conferences ... perhaps. Location does matter for BB however.Right. So just admit you don't mind sacrificing football for basketball. You can't seem to understand it isn't possible but some basketball fans can't wrap their heads around it.

And how do you make it stronger? You're not impressed by a resume so you want to make it even weaker?
That makes sense.

Boise? TCU?This just isn't true. The winningest programs in the weak conferences draw no fans. The weakest conferences have a bunch of teams in constant threat of being tossed out of D1.
Boise? TCU?
NIU will certainly get a boost. So there are exceptions. Oh, and Temple attendance?
Uconn's attendance will remain around 30-35K. Winning in what ever conference we are in will only give it a boost. I doubt interest will wain with the knowledge that we are building the program for a better outlook in the future.Check out the attendance for Northern Illinois this year and let me know if those numbers work for you.

You try to keep it as strong as possible for as long as you can until you make it to a stronger conference. And if that doesn't happen, you accept your fate, drop the program down a division, and do the same for basketball as well, because in the future, if you're not playing BCS-conference football, you're not playing BCS conference basketball either (i.e. you're not going to compete in a tourney against the likes of Duke, etc.)

Not lost, just differing opinion. I won't get personal. You are talking about a team that draws 35k in a BCS league. Dropping to the MAC cuts that in half no matter who they beat in the league.
NIU will get a boost from 13k to 15k.
The scary thing is that the administration may be as lost as you are.
You didn't actually answer his question. He asked how you make it stronger.
There really is no right answer to the conference mess. If the Heap Big Split happens between the BCS schools and the NCAA and we're in the C7 or whatever dickbrained conference is being divined in Dallas, we're still on the wrong side of the cut.
The new conference we're looking at is a brilliant mix of have-not in football and have-not in basketball. The NNNBE will be a wicked, wicked drain on basketball - gonna be hard to soar like an eagle flocking with those turkeys.

There is no rosy picture for UCONN FB right now. I simply feel we have to grab the best scenario going forward and I hope it includes the C7 for our overall success.
And Warde had to make this clear because they are close to getting the ducks in a row.
Wait so weget toplaybasketball with our rivals, be in the best non aq conference and probably make more than all sports in the Big East? What's problem with that?
If the MTM West says no, than stay in BE. MAC football can't be an option though.
If you are for this the outcome it is the immediate death of the football program and a 15 year slide into oblivion for basketball.
Who is more likely to get invited to big boy bowl from group of 5? If uconn wins the nnbe, i bet it goes to mwc champ. If uconn wins the mwc and beats boise to get there, then i think uconn will get the respect it deserves.
Based on its markets the C7 in bb is more of a threat to acc than nnbe. acc make take us to hurt the c7. Are we a threat to the acc in nnbe?
does warde add any value?Doubtful; but can always hope that Susan was in Illinois talking to some nice, BiG folks. Pretty clear that the C-7 alignment is not on the radar.

I can't believe it's come to this. Go to Waylon's post on the first page. You are talking about an option that doesn't exist.
The idea that UConn will get an ACC invite because somehow they are damaging the ACC from the C7? Fantasy time js better spent on Kate Upton.
