Just received a message from a very reliable source who has seen Blanca play in Europe. "If she can adjust to stricter coaching she will be and All American . " He went on to say " I have never seen a lady that big that is so quick . Her adjustment will be facing more organized defenses and staying under control. But for now WOW she is going to be good"

I think we are all going to be pleasantly surprised. Its going to take some time to make those adjustments just like Jana but wow. I have a feeling when we get going next season we are going to be really really good.

Writer is correct. If she has played 4 years in the pros, it will take some time for her to unlearn the habits she has accumulated and learn new rules, strategy, etc. Confident she will.

Based on what I have seen, admittedly limited, I am projecting her as a day one starter. The surprise to me would be if she doesn't work out. Her athleticism is astounding.

She is holding her own with and against WNBA players and other former college stars so I think a typical high school player faces greater adjustments than she will face.

Tend to agree. Assuming everyone is healthy, and Azzi comes back, I could see starters of KK, Azzi, Blanca, Sarah, and Jana. If Azzi jumps, then pencil in Ash as the 2G...

She looks great from what I've seen, and the reports we keep hearing are glowing, so I have my fingers crossed that my hopes (expectations) for her aren't too high...

BTW not trying to start a debate on who may start next season, just pointing out I think Blanca COULD be that good...

I'm still holding onto my prediction that AZZI stays, and makes that known at the BE tourney Championship celebration after lighting up Creighton for 35 points [#35 for 35!!!, and one more year!!!]

As much as I like Azzi it is time for her to move on. The next wave needs to get their shot and if players are allowed to stay 5-6 years then your recruiting is hurt and you will lose players to the portal. To me if they get a quality player to go along with what they have coming back they will just be reloading. I expect Jana to be a different person next year and Sarah will also take a big step which will make her scary good.

I think there is a lot of ball to be played for this group still ahead of us but I am also excited about what the team will look like once they move on the next group. To me KK will be an upgrade with another summer to workout, Ash has continued to grow and this years newcomers will have another offseason of workouts. Future is bright.

Can’t understand why someone would hope that a young lady wouldn’t take advantage of everything she has earned the right to have.

I may not know what I’m talking about but it’s my understanding that the NCAA allows 5 years to complete 4 years of competition so Azzi actually has next year of playing to complete her eligibility.

Can’t understand why someone would hope that a young lady wouldn’t take advantage of everything she has earned the right to have.

Particularly, since she can finish her Master's degree @ UConn before heading onto the W, the 3x3 Elite, and/or overseas....

It used to be almost straight forward, but throw in the Covid year and I don't know whether I'm coming or going. There might be a pattern here: first CC is the #1 draft pick, Paige waits a year and then she's the #1 draft pick, maybe Azzi waits a year and then she's the #1 draft pick. Unlike GOATS, generational players, etc. you can only have one #1 draft pick...
