OT: Black Music Month - The Legends of Black Music

My first instinct was to go with My Ding a ling but this one seems more appropriate for the gravitas of the thread.


Born in '48. In the late 50's, Elvis was the "King", Jerry Lee "Killer", but for me Chuck was the "Man".
 
I miss Bob Marley every day. Peter Tosh, Toots Hibbert, Leslie Kong . . . Thanks for bringing up reggae.

Going into the way back machine, there were a ton of black artists and groups from the Doo Wop era. Sonny Till and the Orioles were from Baltimore are certainly a good representation of the era and genre.
