The 30 For 30 I Hate Christian Laettner is on right now. I’d put Laettner on the list of greatest villains in sports history. Jack Tatum from the Raiders would be on the list for me. Who else belongs?

I thought the 30/30 story made me hate him a lot less I always thought he was this “snot-nosed, rich kid“ at Duke. Meanwhile, his family grew up in a quite normal house in Buffalo, NY where his big brother made Christian tougher than nails. I also liked he was apparently equally irritating to his teammates, LOL.

As a Braves fan, hard to think of a more detestable human being who has leaned into it so much. Ron Artest and Tyson get mentioned but they have redeeming qualities and have really changed their image. There is nothing redeeming about Rocker when he was playing or now.

From a UCONN standpoint I can't think of a bigger villain than Lsettner. I personally add ARos and Barry Bonds from baseball. Pete Rose doesn't bother me as much as the Black Sox and all of the college point shavers need to be added. From football, Vick, Ray Rice and so many others. All of the wife beaters in all of the sports and now the WNBA is starting to develop rivalries that may touch on villain hood which is actually a good thing. Personally I wish Griner would go back to a gulag.

Tom Brady was a villain to opponents, but not to his teammates. Christian Laettner's teammates hated him (see: Bobby Hurley)

Depends how you look at it, for me Tom Brady is the greatest villain of all time.... But if were talking goons, artest is a guy who pops out, the Tchauck (yea i know that isnt how you spell it) guy on Florida is pretty villainous too

Ty Cobb sounds like he was a good principled man who loved to compete and loved to fight. He was a wild man but not at all the trash human being he was made out to be. Al Stump sure sounds like he was a trash human being.
