Michigan showed an amazing lack of fire in the 2nd half. If that's how they are going to play this year Howard will be on the hot seat in the relatively near future

As far as Big10 is concerned, they haven't won a NC since 2000. Sorta speaks for itself. it's not like they haven't had opportunities to pickup a good basketball squad in all the conference realignment

Warde literally just gave him a 5 year extension about 6 hours ago lmao. But then again, he’s the same guy that gave Ollie a big extension too…soooo

Yeah screw the B1G! Go Big East!

Some cold water:
Illinois and Wisconsin were without their leading scorers temporarily.
Nebraska was picked like 11th in B1G and lost to 8th picked Creighton on the road. Expected. One of their starters got hurt in 1st half also.
Michigan is young and Seton Hall is old. Hall showed it tonight. Michigan will get mentally tougher. But this was by far the most legit win of the bunch. Hall is good.

You're trying too hard, Seton Hall has 4 new players in their rotation and Aiken has barely played for them due to injuries. Just enjoy the wins.

Was going to say the same thing Auror. Illinois will definitely be better as the season rolls on and the center we coveted returns. WI will improve as well.

The key is we won these games and they are great conference wins on national TV. It's been a good two nights for the Big East.

Just bummed about losing Sean Sallis as a football recruit. But, we move on.

Saying the Big 10 is overrated is Saying the Big East is not that good. How about Saying, The Big East is underrated as they dominate the Big 10 taking a 4-0 conference lead in the Big 10 vs Big East conference challenge. Ijs
Akin to the morphs of cheers over the years from "Let's go Home Team!" to "Away Team Sucks! Away Team Sucks!" Well if the other team sucks, you're not saying much about the team you're rooting for.

Too much mental gymnastics.

  • Ill was missing their star player, but is otherwise absolutely stacked with talent... yet lost to a team that is almost all freshman and a new coach.
  • WI may have missed their best shooter, but they shot 25% in the first half and only managed 32% for the whole game. Plus they just could not handle Nate Watson who had his way with them. If missing their best scorer is supposed to fix these things, they've got big troubles.
  • Neb was picked 11th... k, and? Creighton at 8th means you had the 4th lowest predicted teams of both leagues... Creighton won AT Nebraska. How is this not a legit win?
  • Michigan is young... great, super, awesome. Then Maybe they shouldn't be ranked 4th in the country or Seton Hall is that good and should be ranked.

I get what you're saying, but come March when the B10 gets way too many high seeds in the tournament without proving themselves OOC, it really gets under my skin. They have a lot of very good to solid teams, but half their conference shouldn't be filling the AP25.

Man it’s so funny seeing these exact same complaints about the Big East from 10 years ago, now made by us, about the B1G.

We would always just say that the BE is such a gauntlet, then so too is the BET

Having your best scorer will help your team score better.. yes... Not exactly gymnastics. They take the toughest shots or create easy ones and make more than a worse player would and everyone else gets on average easier/more their skill level shots. So yeah I expect all of Wisconsin to be better on offense on average with Davis. And check our Curbelo's stats with and without Kofi. It's wild. And this is from last year so doesn't include last game.

Relative finishes (Each 4th from the bottom of the conference!) is more gymnastics than what I said. I did get the location of that win wrong, which does make it better. Still only an hour away, but a rivalry game crowd that was pretty engaged.

No Benidict gave Ollie the 5 year extension Nov 10’th of 2016 which extended him through 2020
Manual has been at Michigan since Jan 2016.mm
Manual signed him to a six month contract . Then extended it 3 years. Actually Manual was anti- Ollie hence the crazy six month deal as interim head coach which killed recruiting. He was pressured to accept him. Although it’s doubtful Bazz , RB, and DD stay if Ollie doesn’t get the job. Ollie was the guard coach since 2011 plus DD was a rare West Coast kid recruited by him.
I believe Ollie’s contract was up at the end of the 2016-17 season.
