The B1G basketball ratings on the same network as ours and absolutely dominate the BE. The BE ratings really are not impressive one bit outside of UConn games.

Big 10 for sure gets better ratings but the gap isn't all that crazy. These are their same week totals for games on the same network this past season...

Yeah, the media partners are popping corks right now, saying we really got the Big East on the cheap thanks to that pushover Val.

They paid what they were going to pay. If Val switched places with the Big Ten or SEC commissioner, then right now you would still be complaining about our deal and Val would look great bringing in the money.

I don’t know man. For basketball only 7-8M is pretty good, and as others have pointed out, without football that’s solid. It’s not like we can just leave the Big East and go elsewhere. We tried that, and the power conferences told us to kick rocks.

And I may be in the minority, but Big East hoops and our basketball program are the only thing holding me to college sports right now. It’s the only thing that feels right. College football is a joke, completely new rosters for hire every year, even our football team. Bowl games are dead, it’s just a garbage product.

We aren’t missing out on millions from ESPN, CBS because we never had it in the first place. I’m fine with where we’re at.
