Ok, this 3 point barrage has been pretty fun

2 huge free throws for DePaul. This may be it.

I feel bad for coach Pikiell (He built my alma mater Stony Brook into a solid mid-major, and obv. UConn player) but DePaul needs to win this

Lame! The pro argument is about the potential of a flagship university in the original Big East footprint.

Remember when UCONN was middling AAC team losing to Wagner and Northeastern. Oh those benefits of a conference upgrade.
UMASS would kill to be middling, or have 4 championships. Don’t compare us to UMASS.

My prediction when we play DePaul at DePaul. They play us pretty solid at every position except center. It's a close game

Marquette, Creighton, and Georgetown are up tomorrow. Need to go 3-0.

so far we can agree the only crappy teams have been GT/Butler, right?

DePaul showed tonight it can win a few games in the B.E

I think there is a legitimate chance the BE goes 9-0 between Friday and Sunday. It will all rest on Marquette and Nova.

Why do you say that?
Theorizing where JRs bulk comes from. Ron Sr was/is tall and thin. But I searched around. Found mom online. She's not big at all. Another athlete actually. So not sure where Jr's bulk comes from. Recessive bulk I guess.

The big surprise of the night was a solid win by Xavier over tOSU. I am not a Travis Steele fan, but this was a very respectable win by the Musketeers.

Rutgers vs. Depaul could have been a 20 point win by either team and it would not have surprised me. Anything is possible when two bad teams play each other.

WOW. DePaul has a potential star in David Jones.

In his first three games, Jones is averaging 20.3p, 10.3r, 1.7a, 2.3s, 1.7b, 46.8 fg% in 34.3 mpg. 6'6 195, long and bouncy.

Personally, I find Charlie Moore's departure as addition by subtraction. Javon Freeman-Liberty is such a better player, especially on the defensive end, so giving him more responsibility is a net gain.

Also, if DePaul gets Terry and Bynum back soon, they're backcourt will be so much deeper, which will help before playing the meat of their OOC when they play Loyola-Chicago, Louisville and Northwestern.

Not sure Depaul is a bad team this year. They've looked solid with a new coach and they are only playing with 7 scholarship players. Big time tranfer from Oregon (Jalen Terry) & a top 100 recruit have yet to play this season because the NCAA hasn't cleared them yet. Another transer from Kansas (Tyon Grant-Foster) didn't play last night either due to a "medical situation".

I think Depaul is going to be a problem in the Big East (finally) this year and could make a run at an NIT bid.
