I think it goes beyond just this. Some of this is about brand as a whole, and the gravitation pull of where the star talent is going, which then has a trickle down. Take for instance AJD going to BYU, Darryn Peterson to Kansas, both considered top 3 picks in the NBA. There is already hype around those two playing each other next year. Fans want to see star power, and money will follow.

Thoughts about the overall BE talent after next year once Marquettes 3 seniors graduate, Dixon goes, Kalk goes? How does the next generation of BE talent look?

I'll mostly worry about what happens after this season after it happens... but a lot of guys not on the national radar are going to grow this year and start making names for themselves as draft prospects. Depending on what happens w/ draft this year and what guys intended to do regarding draft/portal... you have Juniors like Telfort, Chase Ross, Ejiofor, Isaacs, and others (outside of UConn's guys obviously). Plus UConn itself is pulling in 5 stars, a bunch of teams have very talented fr/soph, plenty of nice top 100 class of 2025 talent, etc.

I get the feeling you're too hung up on high school recruit rankings anyway. BE gets plenty of top 100 prospects. Most casual fans and march madness out of the woodwork fans don't follow that stuff, and frankly those are the majority of cbb fans. I think NBA prospects will grow in the BE, just wait through the season and see, just like many years. Plus that personal growth is noticed by future NBA prospects.

Main point, BE will get 4-5 bids this year. Heck, if we get a wildcard team in the BET, we could still have 6?? Yeah I may be optimistic on that last part, but I think that's a much more fun way to live. ;)

Always good perspective. I do put emphasis on HS recruiting because to me that is the next generation and how they think. If I’m noticing trends there, it feels suggestive of where things are going. As it looks, talent follows money, fans follow talent, media follows fans, leagues profit off media, profit goes to talent.

We shall see.

I'm not saying (or expecting) UConn to join the B1G but I hope Benedict is still in talks with the B12. If we had a Pac FB invite and rejected it I'm expecting a better alternative on the table

checking to see if Big 12 is part of the P2 Nope.

Separately has anyone seen Eric Dixons numbers? Didn’t realize what he was putting up. 26 ppg, 54% 3pt shooting and 6.6 rebounds a game is AA kinda stuff.
Kam Jones and Eric Dixon are the top 2 players in the country in Torvik's offensive value stat (PRPG!)
