St. John’s is a tough out this year. They could contend for the BE.

They couldn't hit the side of a barn for 7 or 8 minutes in the 2nd half but otherwise looked pretty good.

Deivon Smith looked like he could be a nice player for them. He seems to do a little bit of everything on both ends of the court.

i noticed that too but i just checked and smith is also a career 62% ft shooter and zuby is 67% so might’ve been the correct move dodging that pass

At the very least more motivation to beat St Johns. St John’s also beat us 2 years with Mike Anderson. You act like the games against St John’s last year we won by inches when you use the quote ”very close”.

Those games we saved our wad, Clingan and AK missed a game each and the 3rd matchup we were saving our legs in a 2nd day of the BE tournament. Nothing is easy winning isn’t easy, wrapping up a game is a standard of excellence that we have. Of course in all likelihood we will have to win close games against ranked teams.

Newsflash - Kam Jones is really good. Triple dub in this game is impressive. Kid is gonna be a first team AA. Not sure who guards him when we play.

Diarra can guard him and if we want somone bigger it will be Ross. We have options. Just don't let Mahaney near him. LOL!

Reviving this - pulled up the upcoming MBB schedule and a lot of games will be on FS1, which I don’t think I can watch without getting the channel on cable. I’m guessing I may need to watch on trial on my computer - while I’m “working”. Let me know if I missed any better methods of watching...

Go back and watch how long it took the refs to call that foul in the first place. There was 6 seconds, the player was fouled immediately and the refs took 2 seconds to call the foul.

Yeah at the end of the day St Johns missed 3 FTs in the last 20 seconds which would have ended the game

But it’s fun to stir the pot

I watched some of St. Johns and Baylor last night and neither team looked all that good. Our offense is much more advanced, our D looks tougher, and it just looks like we play together more.

After watching St.Johns vs Baylor yesterday I was impressed with coach Pitinos tough and athletic team. The team plays hard and should contend in the Big East. It was a tough loss in double OT but they had consistent scoring from their starters. It was also interesting to see Baylors VJ Edgecombe who had UConn as one of his finalists. Definitely a great catch by Baylor.

But for the AP voters and for the selection committee, it will be a 1 point loss in double OT in a Quad 1 game. Won't hurt them at all. We will have 3 really good games this year between Baylor and SJU
