Maybe big east does not suck like so many negative posters believe. Pitino is a great coach even if you don’t like him.

Seton Hall did a weird RPI-style schedule this year, which resulted in some high mid-major losses to Fordham and Hofstra, and a close call tonight. Some major conference teams (See most of SEC and Big 12) schedule utterly helpless cupcakes that they beat by 60, or major conference opponents. Little or nothing against mid-majors, because those games don't help the KenPom and NET ratings as much as they helped the old RPI.

Richmond is a decent player that thinks he is a star. He is stoppable.

St. Johns is making a lot of tough shots this game. Several long 2's off the dribble, shooting through double teams. Not sure they can keep that up for the last 13 minutes.

St Johns folded hard but hanging on by playing Big East rock fight style. very physical

Both St. Johns and Baylor. are making some really questionable decisions with their dribble. It is impressive there have not been more turnovers with the amount of bonehead plays by both teams. Richmond has dribbled right into, and then made a great play to get out of, double teams about 5 times in the second half alone.

Pitino should have called a time out when the St. Johns press break was clearly not working. Waiting for Baylor to take the lead was about 4 possessions too late.

Johnnies got the yips or something. I’m sure Baylor’s grabbing them to force these turnovers, but I doubt it’s not anything Pitino doesn’t have his own team doing.

Pitino just blew this game. Waited too long to call a time out, and didn't adjust to a change in how Baylor was stretching their off ball defense in the second half.

SJU missed 3 of last 6 free throws too.

Oooooooof VJ Edgecombe missed a WIDE open three to win it

Why would SJU press in that situation? On the flip side, why would Baylor run an offense for a corner 3 when a layup wins the game? SJU's center had not gotten back because he challenged the inbounds, so Edgecombe could have just gone right to the basket rather than set up in the corner.

There is a lot of head-up-the-butt basketball in this game.

Baylor is hacking SJU like crazy and throwing them around like rag dolls…very little being called. A Baylor player literally just shoved a SJU player 10 feet and they called out of bounds off SJU and gave the ball to Baylor…unreal
