If you had told me a few years ago that a Shaka Marquette team was going to put up 14 in a half against DePaul, I would have never believed you. Crazy how bad a season they’re having.
DePaul currently in 5th place and inside track for a first round bye for BE tourney. Who would have thought? If you had told me a few years ago that a Shaka Marquette team was going to put up 14 in a half against DePaul, I would have never believed you. Crazy how bad a season they’re having.
DePaul swept Creighton by a total of 2 points and Providence swept DePaul.DePaul, Creighton, & Providence could all legitimately finish 9-11 for the year, tied for 5th.
Heck of a year so far for DePaul, nice to see.
Double round robin is the best. Only way to crown a legitimate champion. The records for teams in our conference are actually hurt by the true round robin format
They have to play the best teams twice, every year

You actually need to root for Providence. I mean like, wear the cheerleading outfit. To church.I don’t care that it’s close to zero. As long as blue is showing there, Providence has as good of a chance as anyone to still come in last place.
I think he’s a very good coach that hasn’t really adjusted yet to the new way of the world in college basketball. Curious what his roster building looks like this offseason.Overrated coach
Providence would still have to lose a game.Interesting that it gives Creighton just a 39% chance @ Butler on Wednesday
If Creighton won that game and St. John’s wins both of theirs, we would get the 2 right?
Lol, that scenario involves us losing to Marquette so I'll passI don’t care that it’s close to zero. As long as blue is showing there, Providence has as good of a chance as anyone to still come in last place.
I know. Just saw an opening for the joke and couldn’t help myself.Lol, that scenario involves us losing to Marquette so I'll pass

When were they last in the final 4? In the 1970’s I believe. You do realize that was 50 years agoMe. I have believed that if DePaul ever got their act together they have the geography and resources to be a very formidable program as they have been in the past. There is a final four history and recruiting footprint that is better than most. And they do matter in Chicago. It will be interesting where they go from here.

I have no issues with that. Jaylin Sellers was big time against Xavier and Creighton. I would love to have a Jaylin Sellers on our UConn team. He can be given the ball and told "go get a basket" with his shot creation and his dribble drives to the basket. Besides Silas, UConn doesn't have that type of player. Maybe Tarris in a sense he can be given the ball in the post and take his defender 1-on-1.Sellers getting BEPOTW over AK is an absolute joke in my opinion. Sellers had 27 points and TWO boards a game. Empty points in wins over bottom half of the league. AK went out and dominated Hall and was massive in D and O against SJU
Give me his 18.5/4/2 or Tarris 15/11 over a 27/2 stat line when you consider competition every day of the week
Oh just stop it. They have had it 2 winning season in the last 20 years. This year will be the 3rd. They haven’t been to the NCAA tournament since 2004. They were drawing an average of 1700 fans/game at home last year. And that was UP from 980 the year before. Nobody in Chicago cares about De Paul basketball.Me.
