In the past decade, you played 20 games and won 13. That’s pretty good. And I do expect the Huskies to win at least three more this year. The closer we get to the present moment the more Kyle Uranus comes into my math uggg
In honor of his craptastic 3 year reign in Radnor. He completely killed my enthusiasm for March madness for 3 straight years. So much joy in actually looking forward to watching the cats play now. Michigan curbstomping aside.

The big question is will Pitino go with players or assistant coaches for who’s fault it is
Very simple..the $3 million man ( B. Hopkins ) not even half as good as the $6 million Man ( Dybantsa )

.-.
So the Big East is UConn. The Big East men’s basketball is starting to look like the Big East women’s basketball.

St. Johns makes a midwest tour with trips to Butler and Creighton next week. It will be a big week for the Red Storm. Lose both games, and they have some big problems.

How is that your takeaway from my post? I’m predicting at least 3 bids in addition to UConn

It's still kind of early but who was the poster who said St. John's wouldn't be that good? Because his take is starting to look better and better. And who were the 2 posters who thought Pitino walks on water and would make this land of misfit transfers into a top team? We need to keep score here.

So much for SJ running through the BE like last year.

The most overrated team in the country to start the season. By the national media and the boneyard. I guess Rick Pitino is human. Let’s all pray Nova and SH keep winning games. I think Creighton is figuring it out too, 4 strong teams. We roll.

Boneyard resident Pitino leg humpers are humping a cactus covered in barbed wire this season.

You thought the Big East was a midmajor, so you shouldn’t be talking trash.

Hear this noise. An SJU home game at the Garden. We might be the NY Jets of the BE but we have fantastic fan support.

I remember when Providence played Kansas out here in Chicago in the sweet 16. My Providence friends flew up from Tampa and I met them at a huge bar near the United Center and it was mobbed with loud Providence fans. Made our way over to the Billy Goat and more loud Providence fans. There were more Kansas fans because Chicago is Kansas country but the Providence fans were impressive in size and passion.

I thought they would be really good. I figured someone would be able to run the point. Basically everyone looks pretty crappy other than Ejiofor and Pitino is acting like a clown.

Providence has great fans. That’s why when people throw around realignment scenarios with the ACC adding Big East schools, I always say to include them. They have passionate fans that show up and make noise. I love playing Providence. Always have.

What’s funny about PC @bendm? PC is a top 3-4 fan base in the conference. It’s always a great atmosphere in Providence and they even travel pretty well. I don’t get why people don’t appreciate them. We’ve had so many great games against the Friars over the years.

I know I was one of the ones who said they would not be as good as many thought they would be. My reasoning was that they have lots of me first players.

We’ve been doing everything in our power to get into the ACC for over a decade and if/when we finally go PeeCee gets to come along for the ride? I don’t think so. If they take any bball only schools, which I doubt, PeeCee would be a distant 5th at best after Nova, Gtown, SJU, and Marquette. They all bring bigger markets, bigger fanbases, bigger brands and better bball programs, both past and present

Coaching grades are not handed out on January 3rd. UConn fans should know this better than anybody. Especially with my Avatar leading the way for 25+ years.

Three short years ago in January, this board was complaining about Hurley not being able to win a close game or a tournament game.

St John's will be better within a few weeks. As will Creighton. Nova and Hall are pleasant surprises. Not sure where Butler is going.

Everyone else is an after thought

That’s true in theory but unlike UConn that year, St. John’s could (not will, could) genuinely miss the tourney at this rate. That 2023 team fell back on being undefeated noncon with a win over the #1 overall…St. John’s has as many Q1 wins as Q3 losses

UConn, Nova, St John’s and PC is more my thinking. Yes, I agree they probably wouldn’t be along for the ride, but I’d like to have them there. They bring a great atmosphere. You want passionate fan bases and old rivalries. These schools have them.

Georgetown appears to be done as a program. No one can fix it and the seats are empty. Marquette makes sense except that they’d be an outlier in the ACC. They are neither east or west coast.

And PC doesn’t? Cooley just left PC for Gtown because the grass is greener, that kind of says it all…beyond the bball court Gtown is a global brand and PC is a regional school, there really is no comp between them. Notre Dame and Duke consider Gtown peers in terms of academics alumni endowment, etc

That’d be me. I’ve been victory lapping for a month now lmao
