What do you think the bubble is going to look like? Spoiler alert: Florida, Michigan State and UNC are not bubble teams, they are locks.

They didn’t collapse, they played the hardest part of their schedule first.

Look at Indiana and UCLA. Their best KenPom win is Washington.

Isn't 20-11 and 11-9 in conference the legit definition of a bubble team?

I looked at it on Torvik and Butler would have 50/50 tournament odds if they finished BE play 11-9. That would entail winning 3 of the following 4 games: vs Seton Hall, vs Creighton, at PC, at Georgetown, as well as taking care of business vs the bottom tier.

It's not impossible but I would guess they drop more must win games before the end of the season

Providence is the problem. The talent is really strong, but English manages to play up or down to his competition. If they win many more games against BE bubble/tournament bound teams, they are going to knock a team or two out of the dance.

English doesn’t, the team is entirely driven by motivation
 
The 4 teams with a realistic shot have already been identified with Butler in the distance. Everyone else is too far behind to have any practical faith.

I think Butler muddied things up for Seton. At this point, it’s much more likely Hall misses than Butler makes it.

yeah, that's not Iguadharo even though he was a very good player with Marquette. Marquette over the years with Shaka had been decent at offensive rebounding, nothing special though. But their defensive rebounding has always been a problem and ranked in the 200s.

Def not Iggy. He was more of a mobile, undersized center famous for his push shot.
 
Would be a shame if Hall can't do what it needs to do to make the dance. Personally I'd rather Vill, St Jhns, and UConn to be as dominant as possible(beating SH), and get deeper into the NCAA's. So can they go 9-4 rest of the way(SJ2x, UConn, Vill L's)? Creighton PC Butler at the front of a 5 game home stand going to make them or break.

Yes, they will be on the bubble with a 50/50 chance if they manage to go .692 the rest of the way (they started .286 in BE play)

They have to win 1 of: @SJU, UConn, Seton Hall rematch, @Nova, Creighton rematch. And then go 8-0 in the rest

Which is why I think they’re done. Not bullish on them doing that. And even if they do, it’s a coin flip
 
I am officially intrigued with St. John's vs Seton Hall at MSG. Both teams rely and pride themselves on rugged athleticism and pressure defense. Plus, Seton Hall is reeling with 2 straight losses at home vs UConn and Butler.

Seton Hall might give St John’s fits with its on ball pressure and intensity.

I checked, and other teams are going to lose too. It turns out someone has to lose every game, and if these teams were good, they wouldn't be on the bubble.

If the SEC is really the Super Conference that the efficiency ratings claim, then there should be a lot of upsets in conference play. If it continues to go mostly chalk, then it is a sign that maybe it isn't that good.

Maybe it doesn't matter. Maybe 2 Big East teams get bids. Not going to care too much. Just enjoying the season, college athletics may be in a doom loop. It is a coin flip whether it will be worth watching in 5 years.
 
Seton Hall gotta go into the half with a lead because the 2nd half StJ onslaught is probably coming at some point

Seton Hall also a 2H comeback team. They rarely go into the break up.

100. Seton Hall's offense can go dry for long stretches and it can be tough to watch.

Pitino is going to go nuts in the locker room. He looked pissed.

Multiple point blank opportunities at the rim missed by SH that would have put them up 8 heading into the half. Every time I watch SH Rivera is always blowing easy ones
 
The seton hall st johns game is exactly what you would expect too teams beating the hell out of one another.
 
Butler is playing like garbage, but Depaul makes so many what-the-fudge mistakes that I don't see them beating anyone semi-good.
 
This looks like the Seton Hall from the non conference portion of the schedule
 
St. John's has Seton Hall right where they went them this half. Seton Hall likely won't press if they're up 13. They're 5/9 from 3, you know they're clanking a couple down the stretch here. Odds of a St. John's comeback: HIGH.

Here comes the Hall unraveling. Throwing it to refs, chunking layups. Knew it was coming.
 
Rivera plays basketball like the football walk-on added for depth after football season is over. Seton Hall has gotta keep this lead at dbl digits at the 8 minute mark but they're now a mess at the offensive end and the fouls are racking up on the other end
 
I turned it on 16:00. It's now the 12:00 mark. It's been nothing but missed layups, missed FT's and turnovers. Just ugly.
 
I don't understand it odd man rush and guy with the ball refuses to pass it for an easy basket. See it every game multiple times a game
